Are these shoes cool? Maybe. Comfortable? Might have to find out. Sexy? Not seeing it. Depend on whose feet they are on. Not Rosie's.

Tell that last sentence to basketball players who had Nike's blow out and fall apart on their feet during a game a few years ago.

As to them being seen as ugly, some still are resisting the smoky gray. And a lot of these will always see it that way. But Nike is trying. If they find the right design that makes orange white and gray really pop, more will accept it. But it is proving a slightly tougher sell than they imagined, especially with shoes.
