I'd like to go watch one of those before I die. The only reason I don't is because they cancel them too much.

I would love to catch one as well. I suppose you could plan a week in the area around the time of one and likely catch it.

Watched it go up yesterday with a couple neighbors. Stood in drive way with beers in hand. For me shuttle launch is about 45 miles away.

Finevol is much closer. Traffic going out there yesterday was a b*tch from what I understand.

i stayed at home and watched from my porch... but i'm a good 35 miles away. my favorite is still the night launch that happened the night of the heisman ceremony -- i was watching from the 528 causeway. it was awesome.

Watching the last Titan rocket go up at night was awesome.

I have been to Cape Canaveral on my way to a cruise, and its impressive. Not into space stuff that much, but still amazing to be on the beach and see these massive pods for the space shuttles.
