Big gains to teams like Montana and Cincy. I am not doubting them but there a lot of things that need to be sured up. We are young and left with a big gap to fll after losing janzen Im not being negative, just objective.
I strongly believe if the vols do not turn the ball over and some how we can get a TD from our special teams or from our D we can beat UF by at least 14 i think we can all agree UF is not gonna be able to out score the vols
Call me crazy, but I think Cincy at this point is harder to defend than Florida.
They run a hurry up, spread offense which is hard for anyone to defend. Luckily, we answered the call in the second half due to some terrible play calling by the offensive coaching staff. I don't understand how you can put the QB in shotgun on 4th and short and then run the ball.
Florida is a straight forward, huddle up, prostyle offense which is much easier to prepare for. On the other hand, if it's executed correctly, a prostyle offense can dismantle an inexperienced defense (which is exactly what we are right now)...
I think Wilcox's exotic schemes are perfect to defend against a prostyle offense.
Thats sec football. The ones you expect to be a shootout turn into ugly games, and expected slug fests turn into pac 12 style madness. Iirc the o/u on this is 50-ish which sounds right. Posted via VolNation Mobile
gators offence will alot like the first to games...only the qb wont be running around on us..and they have yet to show any type of deep ball in the pass...we will be all over demps and rainey until they show they can do something....i think our D will be fine...i bet there D is more worried.....GO VOLS
Yes, UM and UC did run spread type offenses, and we historically have problems stopping those. The pro style is easier to scheme for, but the main difference Saturday is called.........Talent.
I expect Wilcox's D to be up to the task of keeping UF out of the endzone this weekend because they have struggled in the redzone all year. Field goals aren't going to beat us this weekend.
The tables have turned. If UF had showed what our offense has shown so far this year, the Vegas spread would be 42.
Demps and Rainey(time to die, don't forget) will be a handful to contain on the edge but I think our ends and linebackers will do a much better job knowing that they don't have to worry about Brantley breaking the pocket very often. I'm excited to see Jac and Curt in passing situations where they can pin their ears back and go after an immobile QB. This is their strength as defenders imo.
Man I'm so ready for this game. I'm watching it with an old friend that's a gator. I want to be able to rub it in that we win. If he starts talking **** I'm going to have to tell him to get out of my house.. GBO Posted via VolNation Mobile

I was going to say the same thing...And Demps/Rainey are no better than Pead (yes he burned us a couple times), who absolutely impressed the hell out of me last week....The guy hurdled Teague last week in the middle of his cut...It was incredible.
