Should we be worried about our football program being put on post season ban? Id rather lose schollies. What do yall think will happen?

lol a postseason ban WONT happen
At worst some recruiting restrictions or loss of schollies.
Even if they do slap something on us it will get appealed.
I really dont see much coming out of this.

Personally, at this point I'd rather a 1-2 year postseason ban than lose a single scholarship. Unfortunately, I think if there were a postseason ban, we'd lose scholarships in addition to that.

I doubt we get banned from the bowls. :crossfingers:

Meanwhile, in Auburn....... :finger3:

Good point. If we do lose some scholarships and appeal so that we can bring in a full haul next year and push the penalties back a year, then we would be in a better position where the loss of a few schollies wouldn't hurt quite as bad.

Anything found would be a secondary violation, meaning you wouldn't see postseason bans...

The thing is if we receive a loss in scholarships we would appeal which would mean we probably wouldn't actually lose the scholarships till the 2013 class.

But the "almighty" NCAA hates us almost as bad as ESPN so you never can tell what they will do. Seems they should go after our former coach (good ole one and done) and the Ogre, not the current staff. Hopefully the NCAA will realize that the problem is gone and was a one season lapse in judgement and go easy on us.

Have they ever given scholarship reductions for secondary violations? Georgia shouldn't be able to field a team if that were so.

The thing about that is, is they are going after Kiff and Ogre as well as Kiff's brother in law who is at New Mexico now if I'm not mistaken. Regardless I don't think it's too much to worry about.

. . . or we could just be like USC and ignore the rule and still recruit whoever we want and not worry about it. HA! Yes . . . I know they are appealing, but I just hate it that those jack-holes are still able to pull in such a high ranked class with a bunch of scum-sucking criminals on their coaching staff, and there doesn't seem to be, as of yet, any real impact to the supposed "heavy" penalties handed down by the NCAA.

Credibility = zero

If the violation that is being reported comes down it could be deemed a major violation and that is where all these penalties are stemming from.:hi:

We can't afford either right now. In essence, these two options would mean virtually the same thing right now. We can't get to our 85 man limit without handing scholarships to walk-ons for another year or two anyway. If we get a post-season ban, we won't be able to pick up the commitments from recruits. Hopefully football will get by with just probation. CDD is gonna play by the rules, it seems, so probation shouldn't really affect us.

The 'AA is simple to predict. Either you deal with your violations or they will. We have not dealt with them.

We can ill afford any type of scholarship reductions the next two years, we need to get to our 85 man roster. As long as C.D.D. is given time he will right this ship & bring respect along with it.

If we are put on postseason ban then we would lose commits anyway. So if the worst thing to happen to us is loss of a few schollies for one or even two years then I would take it even though I think kiffin and reaves should take all the punishment. We need postseason play.

Actually with Basketball, Baseball and now Football issues, the NCAA can say we have "Lack of Institutional Control" Added all together, that could be a major or minor violation. It all depends on how the NCAA wants to interpret it.
Major violation would mean loss of scholarship for a year or two and limited contact with recruits. Nothing else! Just my opinion!!!

Too bad The Kiffer is not still hear, would love to hear him spin this as: well, we had to get our name out there, so we did this on purpose, and didn't report it so we could laugh at the AA and rub it in there face. This is how we landed all those 4 * recruits.

If the NCAA wants to keep any credibility, they have to crack down on the Drive By Coaching.

Reported by who?

Clay?

If it can be proven that coach Reeves did tell Orange Pride members to target specific recruits then this could get ugly. Before, coaches were saying they had nothing to do with it and that Orange Pride acted on their on.

In a way, we have dealt with them by not having Kiffin, O, and Reeves on the staff.

But they also haven't told the school what they've done wrong yet.
