I know we still have a lot of games left, but Florida looked terrible vs Arkansas and now are back to Appleby as their starter. I was just curious to see if you guys considered winning the SEC east would be ring worthy.

Who cares if they get rings or not. We don't pay for them nor have to wear them. So if they decide winning the SEC East is ring worthy what should that matter to a fan.

Old guys like me won't go for east rings I suspect, but until Saban moves on, I don't see any other SEC hardware in our future. I look at east rings as akin to a participation trophy...well...maybe not the best analogy, but I've not had enough coffee this a.m. to think of anything better.

Still never saw the Florida east division rings.

My bad. That was a typo I didn't catch. It was supposed to say Florida, not Alabama.

It's pretty close to an everyone if 10 out of 11 teams (currently in the conference) that have played in them made them, though.

(Or one could say 11 out of 12 teams if we included those Ole Miss's 2003 SEC West "Champions" rings...I don't, though. No one should include those other than for laughs. Ever.)

moot point now :( ah well, there is always next year (seems like the Vol motto for the last decade) bet you "no" people wish we were getting them now, eh?
