My dog chewed up my favorite pair of glasses last month leaving me with only one (rather fragile) pair of glasses. Given the circumstances I have decided to get a new pair.

Question is, should I even get glasses at all? I like to jog and clown Thrasher865 on the court of hoops, so contacts would be a good option. However I am lazy and I enjoy the grab and go nature of glasses.

My girlfriend says contacts, but I would love some new hipster style glasses. But I would like to play sports without fear of having my glasses destroyed.






Tl;dr, should Nerd-Vol get contacts or glasses?

both. That's what I have.

I wear contacts most days but I have a nice pair of glasses to wear when I don't feel like contacts or my eyes need a break.

People would not be able to positively identify nerd as a nerd without some sort of eye outerwear. If you don't get glasses, you have to at least get a monacle.

If you have really bad astigmatism, I'd stick with glasses. I have to wear RGPs because of my astigmatism and don't see as well with contacts. Wear whichever one gives you the best vision. just my .02

I wore glasses when I was a kid (before contacts were really more widely used and easier to use) and when I played sports I hated it. I was the kid that always had that stupid pair of goggles on my head

I would definitely advise both, thats what I did. It makes life soo much easier, that way you've always got glasses for your lazy days and when you wanna look hip or when you lose a contact or run out of em.
