Should Tennessee pull sanders away from the draft?

I think picking Sanders in the 5th is a decent gamble for the Browns. Lots of upside. There's a chance they can work it out. Get a little rub from the Deion attention. Browns training camp will be hopping. They will have more attention than any season except, probably, their inaugural return to Cleveland.

Can the Browns make it work for them? maybe. Less than 50% chance, but they only risked a 5th rd pick.
If it doesn't work out, just cut him.
If that coaching staff and front office can give Sanders just enough leash to get attention, but coach him and control his instinct to always be the story, they could make him work for the team.

He has all of the tools. His father was good enough that coaches would endure Deion's personality and pathological need to have journalists to record his stream of consciousness about his own greatness.

I want to see if Sanders can play for coaches who aren't working for his dad.

I have no idea what Shedeur Sanders is really like. Similar to his dad, I see and hear things that impress me at times. At others, he (they) seem like the worst of what high profile sports have become in our society. The reality is maybe somewhere closer the middle between these two endpoints.

The story of this draft, however, should have been the former 0-star recruit who ended up being picked first overall. Instead, we are left following what appears to be a media circus around a guy who, before he’s played one professional game, is posing with a banner that says “Legendary” behind him. It’s a sad testament.

I hope Shadeur ends up working his tail off and finding a lot of success (and a ton of humility) along the way. But Cam Ward’s journey is more impressive. He’s not perfect either, but these young men coming up in the next few years should probably follow Ward’s example in how to conduct themselves rather than Shadeur’s.

Tennessee has consistently proved it has the money to compete with top schools said no one and there is a zero percent chance he would ever come to Tennessee
Tennessee/Spyre has the money to compete for elite talent. I don't think David Sanders came on the cheap, especially after Ohio State came got a late visit.

ABC News " we interrupt Pope Francis funeral to bring you more important news about Shedeur Sanders " Never seen the media so concerned about a players draft pick like this one.
