Should Imus Get the Boot?

Should Imus be fired for his racist remarks?

Well, it's a necessary adjustment to the previous thread before he was summarily canned by CBS today. I have not leaned Imus even once during this whole thing, but I will say that I found it riotous when I read a CBS upper-exec's words today that they had spent many closed-door hours over the past days heartfully discussing the impact of such words on young african americans. Can you say...:lolabove:?

I've got a 50 spot says the only "impact" discussed behind those doors was that felt by the loss of advertising cheese. Oh, well, I guess my cynicism is going to win out SOMEtimes.

Let's get some closure on this thing. Final thoughts?

My thoughts?

When are Rosie "ching chong ching" O' Donnell and Chris "Tennessee trailer park trash" Fowler going to get theirs. Or is ABC not as righteous as CBS and NBC.

I would like to add further to your thought. In my opinion, the group that is doing far and away more to hold down African American women is the current generation of African American males that are buying into the modern hip hop culture.

I support your opinion %100

I also agree. If any of us desires respect then we should also give the said desired respect to others!!
