Chaney is a solid coach...but a terrible offensive coordinator. Absolutely hated his play calling when he was at UT. The guy has no feel for the flow of the game and loves to abandon the running game even when he's given every reason to stay with it. He also couldn't get the offense to produce against a decent defense unless he had Bray at QB. I've seen a lot better play calling out of Debord in big games than I ever saw out of Chaney. Living in Georgia, I shared those thoughts with a lot of UGA fans when he was hired. They've all come back to me and complained about those same things.
