Let's just hope it's a "scheme" that stops 4th down conversions...

Well shoop is good for that, plus we have talent across the line. Remember when we couldn't get DT talent like we have? Nice to finally have a few guys to rotate

You ain't seen nothing yet!

When the season starts and all our D players are back our Big Orange Swarm will turn into our Big Orange Storm.

We're going to rain Thunder, Lightning, Tornadoes and Hail, or is it Hell, down on the other teams.

Shop will blitz from everywhere and we'll unchain our Beasts from every level.

BEWARE...Our Big Orange D storm is coming and they're going to rain and reign on your parade!

Try to run or try to pass either way we'll kick your (_)_)!

Building a Champion WIN by WIN...VFL...GBO!!!

This defense has the potential to be one of the best we've had in years. The talent we've brought in and the talent returning should provide us with a top 5. Not many teams have the front line we have...when you look at it, the puzzle pieces have come together and really look amazing.

Lot's of hype...and for a good reason.

It sounds like Shoops had already done his homework and had watched a lot of film on individuals on our D before he ever got here.

I like that they're holding back some of the starters at LB and CB to develop depth. It seemed like a weakness under Jancek that he didn't trust our backups enough and relied too heavily on the starters. The starters will be more effective with a little rest. Plus, it's important to have good options in case of injury. I really like Shoop's approach and can't wait to see the defensive progression this year.

Do we have any feedback from players so far on their thoughts on Shoop

Yep. With many years of 3rd and Chavis and recently 4th and Jancek, maybe we can overcome that gator nemesis that's caused so much pain in the past..

In particular, Florida's 4th down conversions. I watched some of Florida's Orange and Blue game. I know it was intrasquad and in the spring, but the Del Rio kid looked fantastic throwing the ball.
