Several better runners in SEC than Bo Jackson, including Jamal Lewis.

Jamal, give the ball to Jamal, even though he was hurt part of his college career, and even Herschel Walker. Just wanted to get that out there.

I always baited people into picking the raiders on that game. Bo Jackson is good but unless you changed the plays they run you could focus on the run the whole time and stop them. Play as Buffalo and you get 4 runs and a dump off pass to Thurman Thomas that would burn everyone.

There are no running backs in the history of the SEC that compare with Walker and B. Jackson. Darren McFadden is the only one that comes remotely close in my mind. Jamal was good, just not in their class.

In 1985 my dad and I sat and watched Bo Jackson look like a wuss against UT as we beat them. He came off the field and refused to come back in bc UT was hitting him in the mouth. He was fast and athletic but he was weak, at least that day. Never had much respect for him since. I was very young then though. Your time in Arkansas is showing ranking McFadden quite that hi. He is and was really good but not all world.

Walker was a beast

Who remembers everyone comparing Lewis to Walker after his freshman year? If only because both were from Georgia.

Webb had he not shredded his knee would have been close I think. He was an extraordinary talent. LF down at LSU would be in the conversation.

Webb had 1290 yds in 89. McFadden had 4560 in 3 years so no comparison. Sorry, I'm quite sober.

McFadden averaged 1 foot per carry more than Jamal in his career. 5.8 yds vs 5.5. Better and McFadden was good but he is not that much better than a lot guys are listed on here

Chuck Webb as a freshman had more rushing yards than both McFadden and Bo Jackson. Plus he shared playing time with Reggie Cobb that year. So there's that.

And McFadden shared carries with Felix Jones AND Peyton Hillis - 2 guys with solid NFL careers - his whole time at Arkansas and still ran for over 1100 his freshmen year, 1600 and 1800+ his sophomore and junior years. McFadden also ran in a West division stacked with good defenses. There is NO comparison between Webb and McFadden.

I was also at that game. I know that we stopped Bo, and we played a heck of a game that day. I don't know anything about him being weak.

Jones and Hillis rushed for less than 1,000 combined yards McFadden's freshman year. Webb was better than McFadden.

Prob poor choice of words on my part. I was just unimpressed with him and his lack of toughness that day
