I have read several post where members are suggesting that CBJ set Worley regardless of his health because this is an unwinnable game. To prepare for the rest of the year etc. WHAT A BUNCH OF BS!

If CBJ and staff were to do that what kind of signal would he/they be sending to the rest of the team and the fan base? A defeatist one! He would basically be conceding the game! No way in hell that would play well with the psyche of the team. If Worley is good to go and gives us the best chance to win, regardless of the probability, he damn well better play him! I would lose all respect for CBJ and staff if they didn't play him knowing he was 100% and good to go!

I really can't believe that anyone is seriously suggesting that they do this.

If you've seen several posts on the subject, why didn't you respond in one of those threads rather than starting yet another?

If we set Worley I think we'll loose the game and I don't wanna loose to Bama so hopefully they don't have to set him.

The real question is why are you still here? Do the bama forums not like you either? And you must be one of the local bama d!(& riders because you're on here way to much to not have Internet and live in Alabama.... Kick rocks

Maybe the team wants to get to a bowl game bad enough, that they can't over look Worley being a bad QB who turns the ball over consistently. Us getting to a bowl is paramount this season...regardless of redshirts or FEELings.
If Worley is healthy enough to play, yet does not play....It's because he throws to the other team too much and puts himself in positions to get sacked, in addition to sacks already coming due to bad OL.

You mean sit?

How high are you right now?

No, he means set, as in "to set" which means to prevent from playing a game against our rivals.

Sort of like up here in Pennsylvania they'll ask you to let the door open to leave someone out.

Just where are we Setting Worley? In a pen? On a bookcase? On a shoulder? On top of a car? Where shall we set him?

"To sit" is an intransitive verb. It describes an action undertaken by the grammatical subject of a clause, but it cannot take a direct object: the verb "to sit" does not express the kind of action that can be DONE TO anything.

"To set" is a transitive verb. It describes an action and needs a direct object because it describes the kind of action that is DONE TO something. That is, something or someone in the sentence has to be receiving the action expressed by the verb.
