That pretty much sums ESPN up. They don't know one of the best players in the country on the #1 team in the nation? Nice work doing your job. Just keep rolling those Zion highlights and talking about Duke and Kentucky.
When ESPN got into politics and other things that was it for me. It's things like what you've posted that are reasons why I have zero regrets of no longer watching/listening to them
At one time I watched at least one or two SportsCenter's every day. Along with shows like PTI & Around the Horn. Are those even still on?When ESPN got into politics and other things that was it for me. What? They even talk on their shows about how they for the most part only follow pro players or the big name programs. That pretty much sums ESPN up. Besides dunking. What is he clearly better than Barrett in? Barrett is more comparable to a larger healthier Blake Griffin than LeBron. Barretts game is more all around but not near as electrifying which is why he doesnt get the acknowledgment that Zion does.He may end up better than LeBron. And I hate Duke. Zion is special. I don't think we have ever seen a year like this. Its well deserved. He is much better than Barrett and the clear Number 1 draft pick.

The CBB guys know GW. That is why they have experts.
I think most sports people know Duke's one and done guys who have been celebrities for years already. CBB experts know about GW. Not the average Sportscenter anchor who cover highlights form all sports and all leagues.[/QUOTE]
They're too busy trying to be funny, dancing, and silly to worry about actual content. Gary Parrish and Jeff Goodman are probably 2 of the best CBB guys.
Rebounding, defense, team play, efficiency so I'd also say a better scorer. Barrett has abetter jumper. That is about it. he is a gunner.Besides dunking. What is he clearly better than Barrett in? Zion has no game beyond 4 feet from the bucket, GW on the other hand has a nice mid-range game and is working on his 3-point shot. Add to that GW's assists per game, steals and defense, GW is a way more complete player than Zion by far.
GBO
He’s being promoted for dunking. That Doesent make him special. Nate Robinson can dunk.

What I did find kind of amazing, even by ESPN standards, were all the references to Zion Williamson during the Kentucky/Auburn game on Saturday. Kentucky is a high-profile, blue blood school itself, and they still had to talk about Duke.Gahhh. Is that ever the truth. I don't have cable and only watch ESPN to see actual games in FB or BB if they carry. Despise ESPN on a variety of levels. That being said, I've been hitting their site and watching all the games more than usual this year with our run. I'm truly amazed at how distorted their coverage of CBB really is. Every where you go or watch, it's constant UK / Duke brown nosing.

Check the PER or any advanced stat.
You haven't watched many games then. He handles the ball better than GW. Rebounds and defends better. More efficient. Nice mid range game also.
I love GW's game. Zion is like GW with Lebron's athleticism though.
There is a great reason he will be the number 1 pick. He could end up an All Time Great.
Someone else who doesn't watch. He is literally setting records right now.
I hate that people who have no clue force me to defend a Duke player.

I think most CBB junkies know all about Grant, and they probably suspect that at the moment Zion might not even be the best all-around basketball player on his own team. Most athletic and most potential for highlight reels? Sure, and that's what brings eyeballs to the television screen. But actual best player? Not sure.
