Interesting article that I found.
In regards to Arian Foster, there is definately mixed feelings about him in the NFL. Some articles say he can be an NFL starter and others dont.

Interesting as well is that JP Wilson is doing well and that Pat White is showing he can make the throws as a QB.

I think he goes late 2nd day, 5-7 rounder . I don't ever see Foster being the every down back, but with how NFL teams are going to running back by committee. He could become a productive back up. He runs hard and catches the ball well out of the back field.

He can be taught how to hold on to the ball. Unfortunately for him, his former coaches didn't feel that was a priority. Teaching that is.

Arian has sleeper pick written all over him. He'll be able to come in and contribute right away, but might not be a star or full time starter. Or he could be a Larry Johnson type without the hype coming out of college.

I think if he is coached properly, he can be very productive. His stock dropped from his Junior to Senior year so I have to believe that is coaching, Oline blocking, or lack of the entire offense in understanding the offense.

Plus, no team respected the pass against us and teams loaded up in the box.

AF does have good hands which is valued as a back in the NFL. It will be interesting to see what Del Rio thinks of him considering they need someone to run with Jones-Drew soon.

No team respected anything we had on the offensive side of the ball, even Wyoming.

He was taught to hold on to the ball when he was playing Peewee. By the time you get to college, its not something that can be taught. You either do it, or you dont. He just chose not to.

On another note, I think he will be a horrible RB in the NFL!!! He has no concept of hitting the hole hard!!!! Something his former coaches didn't feel was a priority.

I disagree. If I was his NFL coach I would give AF the ball ever down, until his team crosses their on 20, then I would give it to someone else...anybody else.:clapping:

Good call. I could see the Jags taking a chance on him in the 4th or 5th round.

Eagles...Westbrook is getting banged up and old. They need someone who fits his mold. Enter Foster. Especially if he can gain a lil more speed.

I'm not going to say it's impossible, but that's a little bit of a reach. Philly would be a good fit considering they kept Buckhalter.

I hope whoever drafts him has someone that can coach him to hold onto the ball because we obviously didnt

Barber for the Giants had to be taught how to handle the ball properly after he was in the NFL. Besides his last few years, he was a fumble monster.

Foster might catch on as a backup for a couple of years--he is tough and durable and he's got pretty good vision. He's pretty good at spotting holes and make three to seven yards. The problem is, he lacks speed and burst through the hole--he is not at all a breakaway back. A lot depends on who drafts him. It amazes me that guys can have NO NFL career or a longish NFL career depending on the one or two teams that draft them or pick them up second chance, after the drafting team has cut the guy.

Tiki Barber feels Arian's pain.
