that we bring in Cutcliffe to be head coach next year. He is turning Duke (are you serious???) around and we know he can coach an offense and a QB. i doubt he would mind stepping over Fulmer to get the top reins here. Is there a possibility this could happen?

I like Cut so do not read into this...Do we really want to go "in house" again?...The one thing that Coach Cut does is get a QB game ready and he does help a QB produce in an offense, but I am against another homer hire.

ps Cut is not booster friendly..........

I dont know if it is necessarily a "homer" hire. He has ties to a lot of schools. With a new aggressive Defensive Coordinator I think he could really succeed in the SEC. I did not know about the booster thing but I would say wins = booster loyalty.

it has to go both ways for him to survive....you do remember he was the HC at Ole Miss?

NO! First of all, I don't think he will leave duke after one year. Secondly, we just need to start all over. Hire an all new staff and get new blood into the program.

No we cannot go in-house again.

We need to go outside.

Florida went outside. LSU went outside. Alabama went outside. Georgia went outside. Ole Miss went outside. South Carolina went outside.

Tennessee needs to go outside and get the best coach out there.

The other thing he does well besides being one of the best QB coaches around is bring discipline into a program. You seen when he came back to UT and now you see it at Duke. I'm not saying i want him to be our next head coach but he is a diciplinarian which is what we need at UT.

another thing he did well was carry Fulmer's ass and hid his weaknesses as a head football coach!
