I went to google and googled him and about 5 articles down was one from tampabay.com that said he's been hired as USC lb coach. No joke.

thats exactly what i was just talking about. entirely too many rumors floating around on this board. if this is true, then i think there should be an automatic ban on "will he, or won't he" threads. hate to sound like a broken record, but this is just frustrating.

I can't say I'm surprised. You would think though that if we were serious about him he'd rather be a DC than position coach. I don't know, maybe Monte spoons his assistants....I kid.

Does it seem like even though Kiffin left two weeks ago, he is still finding a way to negatively affect our football program? (Joe Barry, Willie Mack Garza, and Markeith Ambles) CLK is really getting on my nerves now.

Why would he take a College LB coaching job and turn down a DC job? That is crazy. I never wanted him anyways, but still. Kiffin is the devil in disguise.

I just hope that the NCAA comes down really hard on USC, and then watch all of their coaches regretting the day they met LK.

There is a blessing in this somewhere. If anything he will get the exposure of who he really is. Monte should be so proud of his son. He has reached for the stars and hit bottom. It is a true reflection of him and his family.

He wouldn't. This tells me CDD has something else in mind

Unless he was given the "DC in waiting" position at SC, I think Dooley talked to him, but didn't offer.

Could this be a good thing? Could it mean we have someone else in mind. It would seem that Barry was excited about the opportunity to be a DC, maybe he was told we have something else in mind so he took a job with Monte at the school that he graduated from. Either way, plenty of good candidates out there, no need to worry imo.

That's a good point. I have not read anything good about Joe Barry and never did understand why Dooley would hire him as a DC. I bet he wasn't offered the job, period.
