I was curious what Tennessee's record is in Hoover under TV. I miss anything?

2025 2-0
2024 4-1 SECT Champions
2023 0-1 Lost to Texas A&M
2022 4-0 SECT Champions
2021 3-2 Lost in the Finals to Arkansas
2020 cancelled
2019 0-1 lost to Auburn

13-5 overall.

Looks correct and I was mistaken last night, my last trip was 2022.

Gotta be honest. I still remember the days of just hoping to make Hoover so what we're doing now is still hard me to wrap my pea brain around. Making Omaha, winning a national championship and being THE hot thing in college baseball is nothing short of amazing to this old man. Back when I still road my Harley, we had a mindset before each trip. It's the journey not the destination. While this bunch has been frustrating at times, it's still rare air and it won't last forever. I'm gonna enjoy every pitch and at bat.

Every time we go to a big tourney, Tony always speaks about how important it is to take it all in and enjoy the experience. It sure appears that he does a great job of getting the kids relaxed and confident. I think this year is probably the best example of how he manages these kids heads in big events like few others can.

The epitome of a players coach. How any recruit or transfer would consider playing for anyone else is mind boggling.

It is so cool to see a coach that literally could pass a player when seen in the dugout. This has to be so fun for his players. As a fan, it is refreshing to see his interaction with his players. I can only think that these kids enjoy what CTV brings to the program.

I was thinking the same thing on my drive to work.

Vegas (Florida indigenous people Casinos) is liking us right now.......I'm suprised how much our odds have gone up to be honest.

Tony is an elite post-season coach, which feels weird considering Tennessee in all sports has more often than not been a regular season team. We’re lucky to have him, and he fell right in our lap. Some guys just have the stuff, and he’s one of them. Like Sully for Florida.
Coach Barnes has been better in the postseason than a lot of people give him credit for (gets drowned out by the "Rick in March" narrative unfortunately)

I love Rick. Won’t disagree with you there. Talking more “historically” than just the coaches we have on campus right now.

Going into today, Tony's postseason record is as follows:

SECT: 13-5
NCAA: 27-11
Total: 40-16 (.714 winning percentage)

Those are elite numbers, folks. Those also match up close to his regular season winning percentage (.722). Hopefully we lock him into a lifetime contract because the dude's resume is up there with the likes of Skip Bertman and Augie Garrido.
