Figured this question is going to be a popular one today, who’s Tennessee going to play in SECT? What happens if so and so when’s? What if that team loses? So on and so forth. Will Warren has put together a great graphic to easily track things as it pertains to Tennessee and seeding. Tennessee can be a 3-6 seed still, anything in between that is on the table.

3 seed gets double bye plays winner of 11/14 vs. 6
4 seed get double bye plays winner of 12/13 vs. 5
5 seed get single bye plays winner of 12/13
6 seed get single bye plays winner 11/14

Odds are looking at 4........I like it. Really just hope we stay hot today and keep it hot heading into March Madness. I wouldn't even be too upset with a semi final exit after a quarterfinal win if it gives us an extra day or 2 to rest, heal, and prep for the NC tournament as I feel our seeding is basically already determined.

If I’m not missing something, every situation where we don’t get the double bye, we lose. So we just need to win today to 100% get the double bye? Any situation where we win and don’t get at least a 4?

That's the way I read it.......win today is the key. Get an extra game off.

TN can lose and get a double bye if KY wins and Mizz loses.

Tennessee can also get a double bye by losing, regardless of the UK outcome, provided Missouri and Vandy both lose.

Can’t have any ties other than a 2-way with Vandy (or tied with KY but staying a game ahead of Mizz AND VU). TN loses tiebreakers with UK and Mizz. TN wins a tiebreaker with VU - but only if there’s not a third that has tied them.

Yup…honestly there’s tons of different scenarios but there’s only 1 and about 10% chance of happening that would not be a good draw imo and that’s Missouri win and other 3 lose, Tennessee would get single bye and have to face Kentucky in 2nd game. Every other matchup is us against a bottom 4 team and then Vandy or Missouri which I definitely rather play than Kentucky.

UK game doesn't matter as long as VU and Mizzou both lose. There is no 3-way tie in that scenario.

Tennessee needs an Ole Miss win at Missouri to be a top-four seed in the SEC Tournament. Otherwise, it's a five or six and playing Thursday.

After today I think it doesn't matter. Too many people are not playing their best to overcome the loss of ZZ.

The season has been canceled per the game thread today—no need to even send the bus to Nashville for SECT.

That’s a big ask. Don’t see that happening

Hard to believe the fall from the number 2 team in the country to pulling for a Missouri loss so we can hang on to a 4 seed in the SEC tournament, yes Tennessee was overrated all season given their inconsistency fully occasioned by offensive breakdowns and collapses, but the 4-6 run to wind up the regular season was triggered by failures on the defensive side as well.

We need talent upgrades on the floor and in the assistant coaches seats to stay competitive with the top teams in the conference night in and night out, home and on the road and at neutral sites. Talent and game plans win the cluch games.

I believe KY's win means UT will be either 4th or 5th. If Mizzou wins, we're 5th. If Mizzou loses, we're 4th, and VU would have a chance to jump into 5th.
