SEC's Bowl Record so far..

3-1 right now and 4 games left.
All of the teams have seemed to be better than whoever they play with the exception of Souf Cackilaki. I think the only game that is a "lock" is Bama over Utah. Ole Miss will have trouble with Texas Tech, Kentucky might have problems with ECU, and no matter what everyone says, Florida WILL have trouble with Oklahoma. If the rest of the SEC's teams win, is there ANY doubt that the SEC is the superior conference in the nation? I think not.

Pac-10 is 4-0 I believe... about to be 5-0 after the Rose Bowl, I'm guessing. They've lucked out though... Oregon State.... 3-0 over Pitt? Their most impressive win was the Cal win imo.

And btw, because I know someone would say it if I didn't mention it - I'm not saying the Pac-10 is better - I'm just point out their record.

I think the SEC has already overachieved, given some of the match ups. If the SEC ended up .500 it would be pretty good, all things considered.

The announcers were sure to point this out as well. They made sure to say that with a real-USC win, the SEC could not catch the Pac-10

cal played miami who had several players suspended. so even that wasn't that great of a win

The Oregon win was pretty decent as well... but I expected them to be Okie State... they've been overrated most of the year as was Missouri.

The best part was when they said that at 5-0 if USC wins...that the SEC could not catch up (since USCe lost)....and that the PAC-10 would win the challenge because it is based upon winning percentage - and at 5-0 the PAC-10 was 1000% .... 1000%, reeeeaaaly?

I think all of the bowl record stuff in rating conferences is BS anyway. Bowls are more about matchups and who wants to be there more. I think for the BCS conferences, it's the SEC and the Big 12 and then the other 4. The Pac 10 has one team, the Big 11 is just awful and slow, and the Big East and ACC are not consistently good.

I am not a Pac 10 fan, but however they have won, the thing that matters is they are W's, Unless Penn State has a miraculous turn around, at 5-0, no other conference can win.

I think if UF wins the National Championship again, the SEC's record in the BCS Championship will speak for itself on which conference puts out the best team (maybe teams) every year.

Yep, SEC would be 5-0 and have a 3 game lead on the next closest conference. That is how you recruit players to the SEC - our champ has a 50% shot of going to the national title game (based on history) and winning it.

Even Vandy won thats great. I think florida and bama have a great chance of winning. Ky and Mississippi might have some problems though. Out of those 2 I think Ky probably has the best chance. I would love to see one of the lower SEC teams beat one of the top big 12 teams. I just dont think it will happen.

Who cares about Pac-10's soon to be 5-0 record in bowl games? The Pac-10 teams play in inferior bowls and have as many teams in bowl games as the Western Athletic, Mid-America, and Mountain West conferences. USC can compete with the best in the country, but the rest of the Pac-10 is very weak. "USC and the 9 dwarfs" comes to mind.

The Big 12 is pretty stout this year, but the SEC is still king. Where else can you have a conference championship game with the #1 and #2 teams in the country?

Who care about most of the bowls anyway? The only bowls that "matter" are the BCS bowls and even most of those are debatable. The only game that really matters is the BCS Championship. All the other bowls are the equivalent of the NIT.

Yeah, the SEC sucks, and Vanderbilt beat the second-place team in the ACC. Let that sink in...Vanderbilt beat the second-place team in the ACC.

Tennessee, Auburn and Arkansas all have bad seasons and miss bowl games, but perennial doormat Vanderbilt goes to one and wins it. The SEC is down, but one of its teams makes the national championship game, a second one goes 12-1 and makes the BCS. LSU goes 3-5 in the SEC, then beats a nine-win ACC team by five touchdowns. Nine-win Jawja beats nine-win Michigan State by 12.

Every conference should have bad years like the ones the SEC has.

Its kind of obvious that USC has been set up to be for success no matter what. 1st their a lock to win the PAC-10 every year. 2nd the Pac-10 champ plays in the Rose Bowl "The Grandaddy of 'em all". This way all that West Coast TV money is poured into the networks. USC will always home field advantage and in my opinion "home cooking". Seriously they are great and every year even with Texas the officials seem to be questionable. Examples- PSU rips off 2 big plays early, both called back. PSU commits season high penalties and penalty yards. Just how I see it.
