I jumped on the basketball Vols' bandwagon this year because Bruce Pearl is the most brilliantly insane man I've ever seen in college basketball. Zags are still my team, but DAMN is it enjoyable to watch Pearl and the Vols do what they do.

From what I have seen this year, the SEC has talent, it is just young. It has also improved quite a bit over the year. But take a look at the rosters of the big 4 and you'll see a lot of youngsters.

UT--best player (arguably) is a soph
KY--two (maybe 3 with Crawford) best players are sophs
Fla--starts 4 sophs
LSU--MVP (soph) and frosh of year

I hadn't seen these guys live until the SEC tourney, but there is definitely some NBA talent there, it just needs, and I hope it gets, time to develop.

EDIT in response to Dan's post: Didn't Tennessee blow out Big 12 champion Texas in Austin? Maybe I dreamed that...Or you could call your local station and ask them to check before they rattle on too much
