Standings - Women's Basketball - Southeastern Conference

Tennessee in seventh place with looking at current standings see Tennessee finishing there could move up if they upset Vanderbilt
Or harder task LSU
And Old Miss don't win one more.
They should they should beat one of Florida or Texas A&M or both.
Finally guess is Tennessee#7 seed SEC Tournament

South Carolina 13-1
Texas 11-3
Vanderbilt 11-3
LSU 10-4

Oklahoma 9-5
Old Miss 8-6
Tennessee 8-6
Alabama 7-7 Vanderbilt Texas
Kentucky 7-7 Arburn South Carolina
Georgia 7-7 Texas Florida
Mississippi state 5-9
Texas A&M 5-9
Florida 4-10
Missouri 4-0
Arburn 3-10
Arkansas 0-14

9 Kentucky vs 16 Arkansas
10 Georgia vs 15 Arburn
11 Mississippi state vs 14 Missouri
12 Texas vs 13 Florida

Tennessee gets 1 round bye would Georgia vs Arburn winner
If standings as of the order they are in now hold.

But if Arburn beat Arkansas to close the season would drop 15 Missouri to which is good possibility.my prediction Tennessee #7 seed in the SEC tournament

Don't see Alabama or Kentucky winning both there remaining games to pass Tennessee with there schedule

Alabama Kentucky Georgia may not be switching seeds

Not sure about all that, it's pretty speculative. But I know one thing, I do not want to play georgia in the first round of the SEC tourney. that has disaster written all over it

We win the yie breaker for all 3 teams below us and the 2 teams above us woud win the tiebreaker over us, so looks likely to be 7th win or lose Vandy game.
Beating vandy would help so much with the NCAA tourney though, would be a signature win for sure and a huge boost at the end of a miserable regular season.

Don't know why but I think that game is possible to likely a win.

I sort of feel this too but would even feel more so if we weren't coming off the back-to-back road games against top 10 teams. I know most teams had an uneven schedule but this year how the end portion of our schedule is coupled with a team being in crisis mode just SUCKS! The LSU game is Flau'jae's Senior night home game. If somehow the team doesn't get killed there and then win the game vs. Vandy, that would be impressive given how this season has gone. Perhaps it would even quiet for a moment the building "let's fire the coach" group.

Alabama losses Vanderbilt and Texas
Kentucky beats Arburn
Georgia beats Florida

Alabama 10 seed vs Missouri / Arburn beats Arkansas likely Missouri

Alabama beats Missouri / Arburn

How do like
10 Alabama vs 7Tennessee

If Alabama losses out music chairs with Kentucky and Georgia

I didn't look to much who get 10 but Alabama vs Tennessee is real possibility
@glv98
Which one three would you prefer to play
Georgia Alabama Kentucky

Shea Ralph
Starting her seniors giving Kentucky around 10 points lead
Before sub them out 4 -5 minutes into the game.
Might have cost Vanderbilt two point lost.
Shea Ralph probably helps her more long term starting the seniors than getting the win.
She building good team chemistry

Just watch most of the 1st half

Order SEC has them in now after Georgia Monday win

#8 Alabama still to play Vanderbilt Texas
Bama has tied breaker over Georgia and Kentucky.
Needs beat Vanderbilt or Texas to stay in #8 if Georgia and Kentucky win one more game.

#9 Georgia still to play Texas Florida
Georgia has tiebreaker Kentucky not over Alabama
Likely to win over Florida
should stay ahead of Kentucky could over take Alabama
For#8
If Georgia upset Texas bulldogs could over take volunteers for #7 not likely but Tennessee wouldn't play the 10 seed if they don't beat LSU or Vanderbilt would drop Tennessee to eight seed.
Georgia could knot Tennessee #8 vs #9 Alabama/Kentucky

#10 Kentucky still to Arburn South Carolina
Both Alabama and Georgia hold tiebreaker over Kentucky
Kentucky win over Arburn
Alabama losses Vanderbilt Texas
Georgia beats Texas or Florida
Kentucky is #9 seed

Odds are in floor of avoiding #7 Tennessee vs #10 Georgia
Without and upset Alabama drops to #7Tennessee vs #10 Alabama game

Tennessee should face one of these teams even if Tennessee #7/8 seed
Alabama Kentucky Georgia

I'm really opposite, I think Blakes who is a driver as is Cotie who dropped 39. They are both drivers different techniques but our D is not good versus downhill drivers full court or half court. I expect Blakes to go for around 40.
This is one of the reason I think Kim needs to add a zone to use in spot instances, into her arsenal . Example Kim Mulkey went in to a zone vs Ole Miss and she said she hates it but stayed in it until they broke it. Ole Miss never scored on the zone in the 4th, its a downhill team.

I think we are allergic to zone both offensively and defensively. It's a real problem.

Yeah, she wouldnt have to make it her staple but it can confound some teams. If they pass it around and hit a couple 3s get back to man to man, its really simple but some coaches refuse to have any aspect of the zone.

During Missouri vs LSU game in the second half
LSU tigers went to zone.
TV people said Kim M said what you said LSU zone vs old Miss help her win.
LSU tigers didn't need the zone but run it allot Kim M.
Seems to know it helps LSU and was getting tigers extra practice for future games this season.

I am to the point that beating Vandy would ease a lot of recent pain. But I am afraid we don’t see but one more win this year, that in round one of the NCAA.

Concur. I anticipate a spanking at LSU followed up by the now standard talk about needing to come together as a team and "learning lessons". Then they will put up a good fight against Vandy. Maybe the home fans can provide enough adrenaline to actually close this one out with a W.

I think Alabama loses at Vanderbilt and their last game as well end up 7 and 9. I think Georgia loses to Texas and beats Florida. 8 and 8. Were 8 and 7 no matter what happens and hold the tiebreaker over Bama, Georgia, and Kentucky. I think Kentucky loses to South Carolina and ends up 8 and 8. We end up seventh play the winner of Bama vs Auburn. Only way it will be Georgia if Bama wins out and Georgia also ends up 8 and 8. Kentucky probably ends up 8 and 8 could finish ahead of Bama but not Georgia if they are also 8 and 8.

They do have the tiebreak over Bama and Kentucky, but Bama has Vanderbilt in Nashville and Texas so they have to lose both or it would almost certainly be Georgia.

If we win a game were 9 and 7 still finish seventh were locked in there and SEC opponent will be either Georgia, Alabama or Auburn. We can win both the game still finish seventh. 10 and 6 gets us seventh as does 9 and 7 as does 8 and 7 if all three of Kentucky, Georgia, and Bama lose one more game. They all have one rough game left and Bama has two.

Alabama holds tiebreaker over Kentucky w 64-51
Also over Georgia win 68-53
Alabama don't win game and Georgia and Kentucky win one more #10 Alabama the seed vs #15Arburn/Missouri Arburn beats Arkansas drops Missouri vs Alabama.

It take one of the three winning there games for Alabama Georgia or Kentucky for #7 seed unlikely but possibly Georgia best odds then Alabama then Kentucky in that order.

Also think it be Tennessee vs Alabama 7 vs 10
Even if Tennessee drops to 8 seed them facing Alabama Kentucky Georgia 9/10 seed vs Tennessee 7/8 seed
that if Alabama Kentucky Georgia 9/10 wins there Wednesday game against higher seed in the first round.

Right Alabama has to win one game to move ahead of Kentucky and Georgia. In that case were playing Georgia or Auburn. Bama has to beat Vanderbilt and Texas which they possibly could, but if they lose both go to 7 and 9 and if Georgia and Kentucky win one more they would move ahead of Bama. Still a lot to be determined. I think Bama will lose both games but you never know.

We lose two we could still be 7th or all the way down to 10th if Georgia, Bama, and Kentucky all won both their games. We win one more we are seventh no matter what they do.

The 2-way ties are a lot more straight forward. If 3 or more are tied is can get convoluted.

Key SEC Tournament Tiebreaker Rules:

Two-Team Tie:
1) Head-to-head result.
2) Record against the highest-seeded team and moving down.
3) If still tied, a coin flip by the Commissioner.

Three-Team Tie (or more):
1) Winning percentage of games played among the tied teams.
2) If still tied, the best record against the highest-seeded team, proceeding down the standings.
3) If three or more teams remain tied after that, a draw by the Commissioner.

Kentucky old Miss Tennessee all 8-7

We lose two we could still be 7th or all the way down to 10th if Georgia, Bama, and Kentucky all won both their games. We win one more we are seventh no matter what they do.

Kentucky 8-7 players South Carolina Sunday Tennessee could finish #6
Tennessee 8-7 has the tiebreaker over Kentucky
Old Miss 8-7
