LSU has to play Fla and UGA while Bama and Ole MIss don't and also play @ T-town and @ Oxford. If they win it, they'll have to earn it.

Bama: 40% chance of winning
Ole Miss: 33%
LSU: 25%
The field: 2%

Im telling you guys, Bama has no chance at winning the West. Ole Miss is going to surprise everyone and pull out the West victory. Then Florida or Our Boys will play against Ole Miss and beat them.

LSU and Ole Miss, have a better QB situation than Bama. Your winner will come from these 2.

Bama will tie the other for second.

We have the SEC's best Defense and a 4th year Jr. QB. Like I said, we'll win the West by at least two games and play UF in the SECCG, this time winning.

If he is a 4th yr. JR. and couldn't beat out JPW, I would worry a little. He will be fine as long as you patch up the OL. But that takes time. I will reserve judgement til he proves something other than, he is a 4th yr. JR.

Your are correct about your D, they will be stout.

McElroy attended high school at Carroll Senior High School in Southlake, Texas, playing under head coach Todd Dodge. During his sophomore and junior seasons, McElroy played behind Chase Daniel, who would later contend for the Heisman Trophy while playing for the Missouri Tigers.

In his first season as a starter in 2005, McElroy passed for 4,636 yards, 56 touchdowns, and nine interceptions en route to a 16–0 season, which included the Texas 5A state championship. For his efforts as a senior, McElroy was named the Texas 5A Player of the Year and an EA Sports All-American.

McElroy's 56 touchdown passes ranks first all-time in the Texas 5A classification, and second all-time in Texas high school football history, only behind Texas Tech's Graham Harrell's 67 touchdowns in 2003. His 4,646 yards passing currently ranks fifth all-time in Texas.

Texas HS football is among the best, but it is not the SEC. Nice stats tho, similar to Jonathan Crompton.:)

I don't think that LSU has a better QB situation. For my money, they have questions there too. LSU quarterback play was horrible last year and the lone GT win has not convinced me to the point of saying that position is now settled.

If Bama had a proven QB they would win the West by at least 2 games, and if my aunt had balls she would be my uncle...lol...I'm kidding you

But seriously, Bama will probably win the West but they won't run away with it like you seem to think...It wouldn't surprise me though if LSU or Ole Miss beat Bama out for it...I would think LSU would win it before Ole Miss because I don't think Ole Miss will sneak up on anyone this year

Bama's new QB and OL loses them at least 2 games, probably against Ole Miss and LSU. I think their D beats us, and LSU wins the West this year.

JP Wilson was not that good and McElroy rode the pine 3 yrs. behind him...Ole Miss will win the west easily.

I would like to think that LSU wins the west; I think they have a better overall team than Bama at this time.

However, LSU has to play FL in regular season and Bama doesn't, and LSU/Bama is at the latter.

LSU fortunes may come down to whether Chavis tries to play a lot of Mustang D -- don't do it, Chief!
