Is going to be crazy with Bama, LSU, Ole Miss. Anyone else think Arkansas might push those teams?

Seriously doubt it. May pull one, at most two upsets, but seriously doubt it.

If Mallett lives up to the hype, and that young D from last year matures, I give Arky a very good chance at winning the West. I think Bama falls off a bit more than everyone is expecting, and the Rebels are not gonna sneak up on anyone this year. My money in the West is on LSU?

Mallett is so overrated it's not funny. But so is Ole Miss. LSU will be fighting with Bama for the West.

Ole Miss=overrated. 8-9 wins at best.
Bama=Will drop off. 2-3 loses.
Miss St=last place. 4 wins.
Aubrun=keep rebuilding. 5-7 again.
Arky=.500. i think theyll pull an upset. D needs to mature.
LSU=wins the west.

really? are you buying into the ole miss hype? i agree with the lsu part though. why do you think bama will finish third?

Not really that high on Ole Miss but they have talent in a down year for the West.

The Tide is revamping the O-Line and breaking in a new QB at the same time, a tougher task than most think and I still think the secondary is suspect.

How can you possibly state that someone is over-rated, when they have hardly played ANY college ball? He played a bit as a TRUE freshman on a crap UM team, and didnt do too shabby considering. Let the kid take some damn snaps before judging him. He would darn sure be an upgrade talent wise than anyone on our roster.

Uh-huh, you basing that on his sub 50% completion percentage while at Michigan? With all the talent they still had then? People think he's gonna come in and turn the ship around at Arkansas and I'll just have to wait and see that when it happens. Kind of reminds me of how people got so excited that JC was gonna be our QB because he ad such a strong arm even though he didn't complete 50% of his passes in all of his spot duty.

I worked out all the schedules and I think it will be a three way tie in the west with Bama taking the tie breaker.

Bama loses @Ole Miss and Tennessee
Ole Miss loses to @ SC and LSU
LSU loses to @ Bama and @ GA

That gives Bama the tie breaker over LSU since both of them have a better SECW record and Bama won head to head.

East looks like this.

FL loses @ LSU
GA loses @ OK ST. and FL
TN loses @FL, GA, and @ Ole Miss

Hmm...I think you're giving UGA too much credit. I live right in the middle of puppy country, and even their own fans aren't optimistic about the season. Losses and injuries are the talk these days. My guess would be that LSU loses to Florida instead (the Gators haven't seemed to have much trouble with Chavis' defense lately). That leaves your West scenario the same. 2nd place in the East goes to the winner of UT/UGA, with the loser fighting it out with USCe for third.

Oh, and you can't forget about Vandy. They usually manage to squeak out a couple of wins against the West. Them beating Ole Miss at home could spoil all these predictions.

Just my opinion...

If you look at GA schedule though besides OK ST we are there hardest away game. SO if they can get by LSU at home then this isn't that unrealistic.

IMO it's LSU's to lose. I am not a believer in Ole Miss right now. Seen too many times these lower division teams have a good year and have high expectations only to go back to where they belong.

Bama good D but they are breaking in a fresh QB.
Ole Miss good QB but lets see if others step up to help. Lost some good athletes to the NFL.
