SEC uniforms

Rank the uniforms of all 12 schools, trying to be objective and take into account home and rode unis.

1. Auburn- classic helmet nice color combination.
2. Florida- Lots of pant/jersey combos but I don't love the helmet.
3. Tenn.- classic, unique color, nice to see stripes back on pants although I liked fat stripe on helmet better than thin stripe.
4. Bama- Old school, pretty simple but nice unis.
5. Vandy- no tradition but I do like the colors and all the combos they can use.
6. LSU- unique but purple and gold is not my favorite.
7. Georgia- hate the helmet, you're not the packers, nothing special.
8. Arkansas- Not ugly but not good to look at either.
9. Ole Miss- Like the helmet.
10. U.K.- Liked them in the Hal Mumme era, now too much blue (home) and don't like helmet.
11. Miss.St.- color not my favorite.
12. South Carolina- ugly ugly ugly.

1. LSU-Nothing crazy, and I like the Purple and Gold.
2. Tennessee-Once again, nothing crazy and I do love that orange.
3. Auburn-Plain and simple. Very basic.
4. Alabama-Have been the same for many years.
5. UGA- Love the Red and Black color combo.
6. Ole Miss- Still wish they would go back to their lighter blue color. Love the red jerseys they have.
7. Florida- I like their helmets and their plain jerseys, but I absolutely hate that orange.
8. Miss. St.- Very basic. I wish they would return to their late '90s jerseys.
9. Arkansas- Can't like a jersey with a pig on the side of the helmet.
10-12. Vanderbilt, South Carolina, and Kentucky- All change their jerseys too much too keep up with.

I'd have to put LSU at the bottom of the list. I don't mind their away uniforms, but hell...even THEY won't wear the purple uni's unless they HAVE to.

I can't believe anybody would rank Florida's over ours. The blue and orange make them look like horse racing jockeys.

TN has the best unis in the conference, IMHO. Classic design, great helmet logo. I'd take the players' names of the back of the jerseys, but I guess you can't have everything. Alabama's uniforms are classic, too, but they lose points for having the numbers on the helmet. Georgia has good uniforms but they stole their logo from the Packers. Auburn's are nice. Everybody else's are pretty unremarkable.

1 - Fla (great colors)
2 - SC (like the combos, Spurrier always will have team looking nice)
3 - Ga (awesome colors ~ need black on black w/ red helmet)
4 - Aub (love the colors)
5 - Vandy (like the combos, not fan of colors though)
6 - MSU (love the colors, could use better combo's)
7 - UT (too old & plain
8 - Ky (too simple)
9 - Ark (no comment)
10 - Ala (too old and plain)
11 - LSU (hate the helmet)
12 - Ole Swiss (love the colors just need better designs)

The Good
1. Tennessee: I'm biased, so what? We got the double pant stripes back, now bring back the thick helmet stripe!:good!:

2. Alabama: Very neat, simple, classic

3. Georgia: classic design as well, need the black stripes back on the helmet.

4. Auburn: like Bama; neat, simple, classic

5. LSU: The purple and yellow is quite a combo, but the design makes it work. My girlfriend said they look "collegiate-ey":crazy:

6. Kentucky: I like the newer Nike design, and the metallic blue helmets are pretty sweet. Didn't really need to change though, the old school white helmets with the Big K was great.

The Bad
7. Vanderbilt: I like the new logo and colors with real metallic gold instead of yellow. Stop changing so much now, and keep the black jerseys! That all-gold thing looked like they were trying to recreate the famous scene from Goldfinger.

8. Mississippi State: The big name on the front of the jersey makes you look like a high school team. (EDIT: just noticed they got rid of the big name, but they got rid of everything else as well...too plain now. I do like the "M-State" logo on the helmets though)

9. Arkansas: See Mississippi State. Go back to those jerseys with the USC-style shoulder swoosh thing, the big front numbers, and metallic-red helmets.

The Ugly
10. South Carolina: They can't make up their mind. Black jersey or Garnet jersey...Garnet helmet, White helmet, or Black helmet (maybe "Dark Helmet" from Spaceballs?) The all-black look and all-white look made you look like a I-AA or high school team. :eek:lol: P.S. see Mississippi State.

11. Ole Miss: They can't make up their mind either, Red? or Blue?...Dark Blue...Almost Black?.....For a while they even had two different blues for the helmet and jersey.:blink:

12. Florida: That combo looks like sombody hurled Cheetos and Powerade. If you do the blue jerseys, go back to the old white helmet. If you do the orange helmet, do the old orange jersey...DON"T DO BOTH!:yuck:

You think Florida and South Carolina are great, but UT and Alabama are "too old and plain"? What are you, 13 years old?

in the SEc, i'll give bama one thing......i do like the uni's.. no changes ever.....simple, and cool.

i like TN's too, i'm biased. the power T can't go wrong. (glad they've gone back to the traditional type uni, those ones from 02/03 sucked).

BUT............the best uni's i've seen in a long time were the GA tech throw back unis they used earlier this year.........those were awesome.

Florida should never have that orange patch on their shoulder pads. that's all. They have good jersey's other than that.

I do like Tennessee's home, but not so much their road to be honest. My favorite in all college football is probably Texas on the road or Michigan at home.

#1 UT (Because it it ORANGE)
The rest are a toss up for #2 (because they are not ORANGE):)

You hate the roads because of the black outline like everybody else? I think the all-white looks like pajamas... But then again, orange pants would be horrid.

Yep, the black outlines are a killer. I would rather not have the announcers unable to read names than have the black.
