Auburn won the SEC. They played 3 games vs other top 3 teams (Tenn, Ky & Ark). They were 1-2 vs them. Tennessee played 5 games vs those teams (3-2). Ky played 4 (1-3). Ark was 3-1.

Today was ark’s first road game vs one of those 3 teams this season. Tennessee played 2 road games, lost both. Ky played 3 road games, lost all 3. Auburn lost both road games vs the other top 3.

I posted about the SEC schedule before the season started. Just like in football playing Alabama and what winds up as the second best west team - the schedule always is not in our favor.

Yeah, but I'm okay with playing the cats twice a year. Means I get to see Rick take down Cal at least once a year.

Will be interesting to see what they do when Texas and Oklahoma come in. In my opinion they should go to 4 divisions for basketball.

Tenn, Kent, Vandy, uscjr
uf, uga, bama, auburn
miss, miss st, ark, lsu
tex, oklahoma, a&m, mizzou

I always want to play Ky twice. Let Aub, Ala, LSU & Ark buy their Walmart SEC reg season champ, China-made t-shirts.

I’d prefer the divisions be consistent for football & basketball. Rivalries are what makes college sports.

Nah just go to a 20 game SEC schedule instead of 18. No divisions needed.

I’ve been thinking about this quite a bit this week with Oklahoma and Texas joining the league. For a while the divisions were awful because the west essentially didn’t even try in basketball. Now that the money and coaching has somewhat stabilized across the league i think it may be best to bring back the divisions to balance the schedules. Not really sure how else you can do it
