In your scenario, let me give you my picks for the most vulnerable to upsets.

Day 1: LSU v. Tennessee. Not trying to pick a fight. I've been saying this all week. LSU might come into the tournament trying to shock their way to the NCAAs. They may also stink up the joint. But as I look at these games, that is the one that seems like the low seed may be juiced.

But assuming you are right, my Day 2 risk award goes to Arkansas v. Vandy. Vanderbilt has not been in this situation in awhile. And Arky has everything to play for.

Day 3, in your scneario, that's a tough one. On the one hand, I continue to think that UK is overrated. On the other hand, if UT has gotten to the semifinals, they are obviously going to be playing well and in a groove. Still, for that to hapopen, it would be third game in three days and depth is an issue. So I'll say the upset special might be the Kentucky v. Vandy game.

C-ship game. If your scenarion is correct, UK will be playing their fourth game in four days and they will run out of steam. No upset.

I think Miss St. comes out of the top. And FL has an easy road in the bottom. TN could take them, but not after playing 2 games and only getting about 15 hours rest before the 3rd. FL wins and gets a 1 seed in the NCAA.

Kentucky loses to 'Bama (who will go on a bit of a run in a desperate attempt to get into the Dance over Arky) in the first round. Book it.

If UT gets by LSU (big if), they will have a rubber match with Florida on Saturday. Book that, too. Sadly, I'm going to have to give the Gators the edge on a neutral floor. But that doesn't mean the upset is out of the question.

First day winners: Kentucky, Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee; Second day: Miss. State, Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee; Third day: Miss. State, Florida; Fourth day: Florida; Miss. State then likely to slide in as an at-large NCAA team

I agree with LawGator on this one. I hope I'm wrong, b/c I think one or two tourney wins would be a big boost to the team. And I don't want to lose to Brady.

But it's just a weird scenario for UT - Big Baby coming back, LSU having nothing to lose and knowing they need to win it all to have a shot at the tourney, LSU wanting to avenge first loss to UT, and a 9:45pm start? That can only favor the underdog, right?

I think we win a close game.LSU has shown alot of inconsistency.they play well some nights, but rarely for 40 minutes. It is away from TBA so its no lock we win.But after the way we have played for about three weeks now.I think we will play well.If LSU comes to play its a game.If they play like the team i've watched most of the year.We win going away.

oh really? well it looks like they might have to do it without two of their best players.....

Yikes. Didn't know that. My theory, though, is more based on Kentucky coming out flat. (given the firestorm that Tubby's in right now, I just don't see the team rallying around him, and it HAS to be a distraction, plus they're already in the Dance and will be given a generous seed, regardless.)

can anyone tell me if the UT game comes on Charter cable???
Can't answer that, but I found it weird that on DirectTV FoxSS is showing the PAC-10 tourney and the SEC tourney is on their alternate channel. Tell me how that makes sense.

As far as predictions, UF wins it. UT loses to Ole Miss on Friday after narrowly avoiding a loss to LSU.

I just filled out brackets for both the SEC and ACC tourneys. It's only 10 bucks, though, and so ultimately I just couldn't pull the trigger and write "UF" in that line sticking out from UF and UT on Saturday. You've got to keep your rooting motives clean.

I've got:

R: UK, Hogs, UGA, UT
F: Miss State, Hogs, UF, UT
S: Miss State, UT
S: THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE, KNOXVILLE

(Eh, it's just ten bucks. Maybe UF will still be mortified by their cellophane shirts.)
