I guarantee you bamers, gators and dogs will take serious notice. Bamers know the guy can coach.
Same for Brohm.

I think they will chuckle if its Tee cause they know he's OJT for the next 3-4 yrs and by that time, fans will already have turned on him.

I will take notice of how many mattresses are burned.

He is a good game day play caller but he is douche of a person.... that isn't going to change. I am so confused, Tennessee doesn't hire one guy because fans scream a ethical/moral character issue - some of the same fans scream to hire Lamo after he already burned down the program once. I'm so confused.

I think Kiffin would be good... but I also think if he fails the fanbase would explode again

if we brought in Tee with a good staff behind him... Fulmer as HC mentor... if it doesn't go well after a couple of years.. we tried and it is what is is... he's a VFL

Lane Kiffin knows we suck, and he don't care. The man had Sullins Brothers going toe to toe with bammers. Sometimes a thing cannot be explained. It's just a happening.

We’re already exploding.

I would put Lamo as #1 in college as far as questionable ethical/moral character is concerned... .something I think I have said out here since 2010. The whole situation makes zero sense, why anyone from Tennessee would want him is beyond me... heck I didn't want him at LSU and he didn't burn the program and mattresses down there.

Its not that Lamo is possibly a douche... he is a douche.

I know its hard for you understand but a coach with a poor record and a shady past is not what we had in mind. Is Kiffin the right guy I don’t know but I can guarantee you its not SchiaNO.

Maybe or maybe not but Lamo is #1 in all of college football as far as questionable ethical and moral behavior, so the whole thing is very confusing to me... I don't even thinks its close, but its an opinion.

Good luck with that. I am just glad LSU didn't get him.

Kiffy is a pompous a@@ for sure but he can actually coach - and has PROVEN that both at Bumma and FAU. We could put up with that because we think he will WIN. There is no doubt in my mind that within 3 years (and likely much sooner) a Kiffen led team would be a major problem for ANY team. Can he bring a Natty here? Dont know but it would be a fun rah rah time going at it. He is a Bruce Pearl kind of hire. High risk, high reward.

Kiffen would be on his best behavior for first few years I think and has learned his lessons on some areas. Biggest danger would be down the road perhaps once he is massively successful. At this point, its a risk I would be willing to take.

That is Tennessee fans throwing that up, sure, I wouldn't want the guy for other reasons. One guy might have done something, the other guy you know does stuff and keeps doing it... Tennessee fans had a front row seat, if I remember correctly.

I actually think this is an insane conversation, baffling would be an understatement. Good luck guys.

He took a better job. He didn't cover up pedophilia

Ya'll do what you want, but I am reserving judgement on endorsing anyone for head coach until I hear what Herbie Keisterbites and Richie Rich Fouler at ASSPN have to say about the matter. Till then I'm loading up on stock in mattress companies.

We're already the laughingstock of college football. Might as well check the "battered wife syndrome" box too and accept Kiffin back because "he's a different person now".

I mean, setting football Xs and Os aside for a moment, there were some serious issues surrounding Kiffin the last time, and he was only in Knoxville for like 11 months. Off the top of my head, there was:

- the hostess gate scandal
- his 1st recruiting class completely disintegrated. In fact, maybe the only worthwhile long time contributor from that class was Daniel Hood, who had a MAJOR red flag coming in (to his credit was completely clean his entire time at UT as far as I know). The rest of the class either left, didn't pan out, or ended up in prison.
- he thought it was wise to needle the SEC office to the point where they were publicly reprimanding him
- someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it heavily speculated (or maybe proven) that he wrecked his vehicle with it being highly likely that alcohol was involved?

Do you guys really think he's grown up? Or maybe he seems like a good fit for us now in this moment as an "us against the world" arrogant mindset? I agree he brings a lot to the table in terms of offensive coaching. Outside of that...count me out.

lol if you would put Lane above Briles, Schiano, Freeze, Petrino, etc in the questionable morals list.

One is rumor or an allegation.... Lamo is a douche... that is pretty much taken as fact. He set Tennessee football back years... I would say most will agree with that.

Either way, my guess... if you polled people across the country as to who as the least ethical/moral character in all of college football... may guess would be Lamo by a mile.... I don't even think its close.

The only think that is more strange than Lamo, is Tennessee fans wanting him back. Each his own.

I would put him at the top. He will do and say anything, he is a complete douche.... that is not going to change.

Do not discount the fact that Kiffen coached under Saban and survived. Saban accepts nothing less than excellence from his staff and those that leave for greater things have a great record of success.
