I think Tenn will be about were they were last year. I do like that Ainge will have confidece coming in. I love our recruits but they are freshmen. I want to get our running BACK ON TRACK.

Positive Expectation
1.Georgia-Staford
2.Bama-coach

Even with last year
1.Tenn- just not sure if we improve
2.SCAR

Decline
1.Fla- they will be good but they will not be last years team
2.LSU-QB
3.Aub-?
Add you own list or rail mine.:)

I will be interested to see what Auburn does this year. I am not completely sold on Cox. Seeing Tubberville on the hotseat from all those yahoos on the Plain will make me happy.

Arky is definitely on the way down. Unless Florida wins it all again I guess they have to be going down. I think every one else could go up or down, depending on which way the ball bounces.

Based on everything I've looked at, I expect to see:

Decline -
Florida (+5 CGVR, huge losses to draft)
Arkansas (big losses to draft, chaos)
Auburn (+5 CGVR, actually performed below average in the SEC - it will catch up)

Same Old Same Old -
Tennessee (+2 CGVR isn't a good sign, big losses to draft, but returns SR QB, easier schedule)
Georgia (+2 CGVR isn't a good sign, some losses to the draft on OL, defense should be good, regardless of spring game)
Kentucky (They return a ton of players, but achieved higher than they performed, defense was terrible and it will catch up, +2 CGVR)
LSU (+2 CGVR, losses to the draft, but defense overall will be stout. The key is Matt Flynn)
Mississippi (return tons of players, but awful QB play and another poor defense will keep them in neutral)
Mississippi State (-2 CGVR could mean improvement, but they had tons of losses from a decent defense)

Improve -
Alabama (-2 CGVR, young talent in 2006, Saban and staff are miles ahead of Shula and staff)
Vanderbilt (-2 CGVR, Nickson and CJG are returning skill players with growth potential, and the best WR in the conference)
South Carolina (with the loss of Sidney Rice, you could say they'll be neutral, but they return tons of defensive players; Mitchell started to "get it" near the end, Spurrier)

Florida has nowhere to go but down, Arkansas is in turmoil, and Auburn over achieved, so they will not be a top 10 team next year.
Les Miles will catch up to LSU either this year or next.

Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt will still be bottom dwellers. Kentucky will stay around the 6-7 win range.
Tennessee will still be an 9-3 or 10-2 team unless the newbies come in and play well right away.
Georgia will be better with Stafford but the D has huge questions

South Carolina will improve, but will still be the 4th best team in the East.
Alabama has nowhere to go but up.

Here are some stats I have seen on betting sites. The odds the SEC teams have of winning the national title. Alabama: 70/1, Arkansas 25/1, Auburn:45:1, Florida: 8/1, Kentucky: 150/1, LSU: 10/1, South Carolina: 80:1 and Tennesee: 45:/1. That would put us third in the east.

What were the odds for Georgia?

another thing i find odd is that some are saying we will tie with Kentucky 4th in the east. Florida, Georgia and South Carolina: First, Second and Third respectively. I just want us to beat the hell out of Arkansas. I got so much heat after that butt kicking we received on the hill. I laugh at work at all the drama the Nuttster has brought on himself.

Alabama is a steal at 70:1 and Florida at 8:1 is a joke.

An SEC team won't win the national title this year.

I don't care if it's 1,000 to 1. A futures bet on a team with no shot of winning the title is burned money.

An SEC team could always win the national title, I just think it's less likely than normal in 2007.

And Alabama has as good a shot as anybody in the SEC.

Alabama has no shot. A futures wager on them is the same as one on Texas A&M.

Ugh, I forgot they played Arkansas, Georgia, and FSU back to back to back. I'll still stick with SEC West champs.
