The guide agrees with you. I went to Calhouns twice. Pleasantly surprised at how good the food was given how busy the restaurant was.

No one who has ever been to either town more than once would pick The Row in Nashville or Rama Jama's in Tuscaloosa. And he picked an Alabama based restaurant chain for Starkville.

Why does "The Dixie Chicken" in College Station have a rattlesnake and a longhorn skull on its sign? You would think if "Chicken" was your thing then you would have a chicken on your sign.

Edit: Also Nashville has so many good places to eat that I do not know if you could pick just one "Best Food Experience"

I think Calhoun's on the river is different than the other Calhoun's restaurants. Maybe they try harder there or maybe it's just the atmosphere that makes it better. I agree though, there are many places better than Calhoun's.

Calhouns on the River is fun to eat at since its on the River and you can see the stadium. Food is good but not great
