If South Carolina doesn't make that jump in the next 4 years they never will make that jump. Even though I think he's a pompus ass I give Spurrier much repsect as a coach and think he will make that jump.

Very true but when Spurrier gets the players he wants to run his system he's a beast. They might be hurting next year with out Rice. Maybe not, I always viewed him as overrated and whiney. I guess we'll see.

i dont think its a shame. making to a bcs game out of the sec makes you more prepared to win a big game, cause youve had to do it over and over. ask lsu and florida about that worked out for them.

what is a shame is that tennessee can't win enough big games to get there.

I've been meaning to ask about those rival rankings....

We have almost twice as many recruits as USC (wow, I actually have to say West USC). Anyways, I assume that come signing day they will be picking up close to the same number as we are right? When/if? that happens they should jump right back up, right?

Or does it just work out that some teams have twice as many open scholarships available in a given year?

I believe USC has fewer scholarships to give out this year. Some teams have 25 available scholarships one year and 13 the next. For example, Texas only had about 14 to give out 3 years ago.

I dont think its that big of an IF...SC is good... no brainer..Steve Spurrier plus the recruiting class he needs equals the thing UT hates most. A cocky SOS that spanks you. ouch.

i guess this is more proof that TN isn't the only SEC school that is actually talented and really good to boot. whoda thunk it?
