Is it just me or does it seem that the SEC has been very uh boring this year. It seems that all the SEC teams have been pretty equal this year and that has made for some preety boring games. I guess that is good for all the big10, big12, pac10 fans out their. I hope it just the SEC and the SEC schools in bowl games had their opposition thier arsess. I don't like florida, lsu, bama, auburn, and etc, but I am a fan of the SEC and root for them when playing other confrences.

very very boring. a lose cannon like jemarcus russell can lead lsu to 10-1 is just a disappointment.

i would rather watch those lsu guys kiss than watch lsu play. what a crappy game the sec championship will be.

I disagree... while the league may have been down as a whole... there's still been some GREAT games this year...

UT/Bama, Auburn/Georgia, Auburn/LSU, LSU/Bama, UT/LSU, Georgia/Florida... and so on.

Have you been watching games other than UT's? And did you watch UT v. LSU?

The SEC was totally entertaining this year. Overtime games, big hitting games, upsets, etc. Sorry, dude, but you are way off on this one.

SEC game of the year for me had to be Auburn vs. Georgia.

I don't think the conference is that bad... Best in the country in terms of defense, but you know offense is lacking when Vanderbilt has practically the best offense around.

Yes, I have watched just about all the SEC games this year. I guess I worded my statement incorrectly I guess I meant the SEC is Offensivly challanged this year. It could be that the defenses in the SEC are just that good this year. I don't know. I guess I was so hyped about this year and I find myself more drawn to the Pros this year for the first time ever.

NO, I'm not a homophobe. Just not into the whole gay thing. I don't agree with homosexuality, So I don't care to watch it. If someone is a homosexual thats their buisiness I just don't have to agree with it or watch it. This is a board on college sports not morals and politics so Ill leave my statements at that.

I dunno fellas. Three overtime games in one season is plenty exciting enough for me. How on earth can you not call your win over us not exciting?

C'mon.

Agreed. Yeah, the normal big name teams were less than par, but on the whole, and this is what pisses me off about the national media, it was a very exciting year....

Defense ruled the day, and you get no credit for that...and that sucks.

I'll say this...the Bama/LSU, Aub/UGA, TN/LSU, TN/Bama, Bama/Ole Miss games were unbelievable this year....esp. those first two...GREAT games.

but only if you like/respect defense. If all you care about, national media, espn, is the deep ball and half back passes, go watch the WAC, MaC or whatever it is....

While it sucked to lose that game to Bama 6-3...tell me there wasn't a person watching that game that wasn't sitting on the edge of thier seat in the 4th qtr? Hell, i was sitting on the floor!!!!

UT is the only team in the SEC that should have had an exciting year but did'nt. I think UT stinking so bad this year made it more exciting for all the other teams fans'. They all hate UT and loved seeing Fulmer loose control of his team and staff! The only impact Tennessee Had on the entire SEC season was beating LSU. How we did that was pure LUCK! They should have handed us our butts in that game but somehow the players won that game with no help from the coaches! Just because we had a crappy year doesn't make the SEC boring. We had a year compairable to Miss State and Kentucky, Does the SEC have a bad year when they do? I don't think so.

College ball all around has been pretty disappointing. Lack of quality play on a regular basis has been a staple this season for just about every team in the nation. Even Texas/USC have had completely ugly games. Games have been close, but due to the sloppiness of the play in comparison to previous seasons, I would have to agree this has been a really bad year to watch some football.

I love a good, low-scoring, defensive battle.

to me, people that love the 40 something to 30 something games these days are only interested in it for the high lights...

I think too much emphasis is placed on the "big play". And what i mean by that, is when you have a "big play", usually that means someone made a HUGE mistake on defense. Not always, but in your top tier type teams, that's what it means. Mistakes, not good football, lead to big plays. A safety jumps a routte, bites on play action, misses a gap, etc....

take M. Harrison's long TD last night. Yes, it was executed perfectly, based on the play action from Manning, but the DB got turned around and the Safety bit completely on that...tell me why a safety or DB would bite on that if your covering M. Harrison??? have they not watched any film this year???

The offense had to execute it, but the D made a big, big mistake that led the Colts to make it an 80 yard TD.

For me, i'd rather watch a good defensive game any day over a shootout...low scoring does not alwasy equal boring. Except in that NC State/Maryland game this weekend...ugh...you talk about bad offense....

it's the ESPN highlight generation...highlights are it, everything else be damned!

so in short, i agree w/you 100%.
