About to change it because McElroy just said Hurd needed to improve in pass protection and pass catching. Get freaking real. Hurd is not perfect but I would be shocked any coach on this team or an opponent would say he was even just average for a RB at pass blocking. And I doubt he dropped 2 passes all last year.

I saw it too and it ticked me off as well. We have seen Hurd absolutely destroy defenders in pass protection. Idk what he's smoking.

Thanks for sharing OP!

This does nothing for me other than getting me more hype for Thursday evening. Gonna be a long week.

I agree. 10 wins, end the Florida streak, and get to Atlanta are the minimum expectations IMO.

Im not going to start a fahr Butch thread if they just win 9, but that's a very fair expectation. There should NOT be more than 2 teams that can beat this squad on this schedule. There's only 4 big games, and to go 1-3 barring injuries in those only shows us that this team that Butch has been waiting for is his best foot forward.

I really like Greg as an analyst but he's making crap up there. Hurd isn't good but rather great catching the ball out of the backfield. He's equally as good in pass pro. McElroy definitely didn't di his homework there.

I am waiting for the rerun, and I really like Greg but that's odd. Its not like that's an area of concern... You got a RS FR tackle starting and the WRs have not proven anything yet. Dobbs, despite off-season praise by coaches, still hasn't proven he can throw the deep ball. TEs need to step it up... Hurd getting better in pass pro is the least of my concerns.

They gave the defense a ton of love. Broke down Barnett, Vereen, JRM, Sutton, and Kirkland. Been waiting for the Kirkland mention from somebody for a while. What he did at Mike as a true freshman is nothing short of phenomenal.

Picked 10-2 w Ls to A&M and Bama. Said A&M is more schedule location coming off what would be two huge emotional wins and Bama the next week.

If be very happy if this is what happens this fall.

I figured they would pick UGA/Bama as losses, I'd agree with the picks they made as far as losses. I feel like with that four game stretch its going to be hard for us to let our guard down IMO.

That's how I see it.

Im still saying Georgia and Bama

Hard to argue against that. I say TAMU because of where they fall on the schedule but for as long as I can remember UGA has always been a nip and tuck game. It seems like though, if one team blows out the other it's us blowing them out. We both will be coming off big games, us against Florida, then against Ole Miss. If both teams win I think it'll come down to who can keep their focus and who wants to remember what they did the week before.

Can we make the playoff if we go 10-2 and win the SEC championship?

Most likely. Unless we play an undefeated Bama and we squeak out a very close win. I could see the committee giving Bama the nod.

Other scenario would require 3 undefeated conference Champs. One of those being maybe Clemson. Florida State's only loss is a very close, hard-fought loss to Clemson. I could see the 3 conference Champs and FSU getting in.

I don't see how they would leave out an sec champion, two losses or not. That's just me though.

I think you are right. I think the SEC champion has earned the right to basically get an automatic bid at this point. Those were just the only 2 scenarios I could imagine where we don't get in.

I did see something the other day where they picked two sec schools to get in and it was Alabama and LSU. I don't see two teams from the same division get in. I don't think it's insane to see two teams from one conference in it though. I just think it would have to fall just right for that happen. Only way an sec team don't get in IMO is if they had 3 losses. I think two losses they'd still put an SEC team in.

The SEC is plenty capable of getting left out. If Notre Dame runs the table or has 1 loss, and 3 of the other P5's have 1 or 0-loss champs, we'll get left out. Houston is another wildcard that will be there if they go 12-0. The playoff committee isn't going to bow down to the SEC.
