SEC officials need to be investigated. Georgia State got screwed by a bad call late in the Auburn game. Last week Penn State got screwed on a third down and made to punt. In our game tonight pass interference calls not being called when it was obvious it was pass interference. Are these refs gambling?
The SEC is crooked and they need to be called out on it.

Only two bad calls I saw were a missed PI and a blatant missed hold downfield on one of their runs. Otherwise the refs called a fair game.

We absolutely are guilty of the penalties we amassed, it’s starting to become our identity.

This.

Every possible sign of improvement that I notice has to get weighed against our undisciplined play. Our penalties have become absurdly humorous.

I agree… I seen some big time missed calls tonight. To add to your point, the Hooker first down missed spot against Pitt was a bad call Too.

we had several missed calls. I’m still not sure Hookers head getting ripped off wasn’t a face mask. Looked like he was grabbed at the ear piece and jerked down.

There were several missed holding calls within the Florida offensive line on multiple drives, if they’re allowed to hold, it’s easier to get extra yardage… agree we should have executed plays better, but an even playing field helps…

Not to mention the blatant holding every single time Florida ran outside.

I thought the targeting call on Calloway was weak. It looked to me like it Calloway knew what was happening and he was trying to get out of it. If anything it was more of a head tilt.

Exactly why I’ve started watching other conferences and NFL. These games are borderline fixed. There’s nothing like an SEC top vs bottom game. UT gonna get hosed against UGA and Bama. Close or not at some point it won’t even be watchable.

Right after the blindside block call on us Florida did the same thing, no flag. The camera barely caught it but if you rewatch you will see it.

I seen at least one more hold, a block in the back, and two face masks that were never called.

Since this is a penalty thread....

For clarification, a punt returner does not need to signal fair catch in order to be given the opportunity to field the punt. You can not hit the return man until after he catches the ball (or attempts to catch the ball)
I'm not one to think or say we lost this game due to the refs, we didn't. We lost because Fla was the better team. Having said that, the dude flipped his hand up in a half-assed fair catch gesture about two seconds before the ball--and the defender hit his hands. Sucky rule, but like I said, without it we still would've lost

That's the point. It doesn't matter. Pretend he didn't signal for a fair catch at all. It's still a penalty.

They picked up our offensive pass interference flag, and we were 100% guilty, and we should have had pass interference in the end zone.

Stop blaming the refs, it goes both ways

Shawn Elliott will not be at Georgia State much longer and he will get a look at a Power 5 school very soon.

Don't think anyone mentioned anything about that. Obviously a penalty. Thought I think he was trying to time the moment the player touched the ball. He knew what he had done as soon as it happened, can watch his reaction.
