Surprised they're not going to Washington/Auburn since it's a much bigger game and College Gameday isn't going there

I think they are factoring in the distance from Washington to Atlanta. I know Washington will bring a decent crowd, but I doubt its enough to give a good game day pregame show atmosphere.

Agreed and they probably realize that the stadium is almost completely sold out for the Belk Kickoff....

And the SEC Network is based in Charlotte, right?

I wonder if this is our 1 time of the season to be on SEC Nation or will they be coming to KNOXVILLE later in the season...They usually rotate to a different school each week...
Hope we get more than 1.....

SEC network is based in Charlotte. no travel for week 1. the most likely reason. and if we win, they were there, and it'll be great. if we lose, nothing lost.

Would likely depend more on the wins column than anything to get a second visit.

i will say this, i went to the last back yard brawl between WVU and Pitt a few years ago, and i saw more fights outside that stadium than i have at any other. WVU fans are kinda crazy....but in a good way if you like that kinda thing. we drove down from Pittsburgh for the game, and on the last over pass you go under before crossing in to WV, WVU fans had hung a big banner that said "EAT S**T PITT!!!".

it was a lot of fun for someone that didn't have a dog in the fight.

You can almost bet that Teblow will pick WV. Jamarcus will correctly go with Tennessee for the upset as will Finebaum.
