Don’t know where else to post this. Apologies if it isn’t thread worthy.
All season, struggling SEC teams have been able to catch the best SEC teams on an off night. We have had constant shuffling of our ranked teams.
In the Big 10, there was never any doubt who the top two teams would be. The only mystery was who could win the Oregon/Ohio State game. Meanwhile, the only SEC team that has been a lock was our special guest, Texas. For whatever reason, Texas hit the lottery in scheduling while the rest of us fight tooth and nail.
There is little wonder why the SEC always has the best TV ratings over the course of a season and there is no comparison between the SEC and other “Power Conferences”.
I sincerely hope that ESPN and SEC network capture this moment to remind everyone what conference play is supposed to look like, and the SEC champion is the only champion worthy of an automatic bid.
/end SEC homer rant.
