Based on observations of what is going on in recruiting right now for Florida, here is my take on how things look/finish on NSD. This is basically my opinions based on the information, good and bad, that I have come across. This can be subject to change, of course, as this stuff is prone to do in the final days of craziness.
Andre Debose- I will acknowledge that FSU is a serious visit and not a complete blow off thing, but his real desire was to visit UM with his buddies. So this is the lesser of too evils. In the end, I believe Andre knows Florida is the best situation for him and its where he wants to be. GATOR on NSD.
Marsalis Teague- Given the fact that Teague has said the place that makes him happy is Florida, this seems pretty cut and dry. Distance definitely is a factor for Mom, but I doubt she'd ultimately stand in the way of her son's happiness. GATOR on NSD.
Gary Brown- Even Dorothy has thrown in the towel on their chances with GB. Gary and his parents are happy with the decision for Florida. GATOR on NSD.
Jelani Jenkins- Jenkins to Florida is one of the worst kept secrets. After Meyer visited the family in home, the recruiting process ended for Jelani and his family. GATOR on NSD.
Josh Evans- This is a kid whose been a priority for the staff the entire time. Its been Florida-Oklahoma for a long time and it should come down to those two. I feel confident on this one. GATOR on NSD.
Marlon Brown- I know most feel he is Georgia bound. I just don't see it. Murray is a good QB prospect but some pan out and some don't. If he is going to chance a QB situation, I think he will stay in Tennessee and play for the Vols. Ole Miss and Florida are dark horse teams because he enjoyed both places and both have established QBs. In the end I think he will be a Vol on NSD.
Jarvis Jones- There is everything out there from he dropped Florida, not buying, to Florida is the team to beat. Southern Cal has supposedly come on of late, but am not sure that he would go that far. LSU should be considered a real threat, as should Texas because he likes Muschamp. Because he is so quiet, most things going around are speculation. I will stick, right now, with Jones going where conventional wisdom had him going all along. GATOR on NSD.
Orson Charles- There are some rumblings that he might forego the post NSD trip to SC. Not sure how much validity there is to that, though. If it pans out, I believe its a good indication he will be a Gator as Florida is the one team he might not have the choice to pick after NSD. Why skip the trip for a team that has scholarship room to wait? Until there is a clear decision on when he will announce, I can't really project it. Would not be surprised if he plays this all out and picks Miami in the end, though. Just that hard to peg down his recruitment.
Brandon Moore- I think with Stinson going to Bama and Brandon's recruitment being stretched to NSD... something might be up there. The easy move would be to pick Bama if thats what he wants. Takes the in state pressure off. Playing this out puts him through more pressure. The question is why go that route to pick Alabama? In the end, I will say Alabama on NSD but not sure it won't be very close in the final days.
Denard Robinson- This basically comes down to do you believe he is fishing for a LOI for his buddy or does he want to attend the same school as him. If he wants to get Witty to a good school, wiaiting to announce for UF on NSD is necessary. If he wants to play with Witty, it'd be a special moment for the two friends on NSD. It can go either way. I will be conservative and say Michigan on NSD.
Trent Richardson- You cannot dispute that he has strong feelings for the Tide as he has spent a lot of time around their program since committing. But you cannot ignore that the position coach he said he feels more comfortable with is Kenny Carter and the head coach he feels most comfortable with is Urban Meyer. Recruiting is all about relationships. GATOR on NSD.
Dre Kirkpatrick- Alabama on NSD.
