UT barely had an experienced starting five last year. This year they return at least 8 guys with good playing time and talent.I fail to see how UT is so far ahead of Georgia and Florida as far as experience goes. We lose two starters on an offensive line that wasn't very good.
Coker ran well. Foster ran well two years ago and against PSU except for the fumbles. Hardesty is still fighting injuries and risks being irrelevant if one of the Freshmen are as good as advertised. We return an unproven group of running backs.
True.We lose by far our three best WRs.
Wade was the only player that will not be replaced by someone at least as good.We lose almost our entire starting secondary.
And return a guy that was a rock before leaving on Mormon missions and a guy that has a load of talent and is improving. We lost two DL starters on a group that wasn't good to begin with.
MLB's are as responsible for run D as DL's... especially when the O runs right at them. PK is a huge loss.We also lost a great middle linebacker and a solid kicker, neither of which has a proven replacement.
Every team has question marks but UT doesn't have the clear negatives that UF has to deal with on D... and offensively, all things being equal, I'd rather have UT's situation at QB than UF's even if Tebow is as talented as advertised. He played spot last year. It will be different and lonely for him this year.Ainge, Hefney, Karl, and Mayo will be leaders with good experience, but we still have quite a few question marks on this team.
