It's going to happen. Florida's defense is rapidly regressing and depth is a MAJOR concern. Mac's offenses are awful and the guy is recruiting Zaire from ND since he can't develop the QBs he initially signs. Offense has a few playmakers but QB will dictate everything.

Georgia is very young. Eason is a future #1 pick but he has no offensive line. RBs are solid but injury riddled and Georgia always finds a way to ruin their season one way or another. Their defense is also soft and their line isn't as mature as deep as ours.

Barring injuries this offense could be very good. Our oline could dominate the 2 schools I mentioned above. UT has 6-8 solid guys on the OLine and idk if either of those schools will be able to slow down, Jelly. Over the course of the games our OLine could wear down the defenses while we still have a solid 2-3 backups in case starters need a breath.

The OLine has cost us a few games the last few years but I believe this year it could be the exact opposite.

10-2 SEC East Champs. Wait on it.

We have depth issues apparently according to reports. Also a big ? At QB despite both possible starters having a lot of potential. It doesn't mean they will live up to it. I'll believe it when I see with the online. It feels they come out and just look awful in game 1 each year. WRs are a big ? Outside Jennings. Lots of potential again, but that doesn't mean anything right now. Linebackers are hurting for depth.

However. UGA and UF have concerns too. I think UGA has less concernes than us and UF right now. Though, UF has found a way to win the east the last two years. So right now it's completely fair to expect us to finish 3rd in the east. I hope I'm wrong.

The only thing I don't think Florida or Georgia play Alabama and LSU both. We need to beat one of them I believe to win the east.

I love preseason optimism but you think a freshman QB will do better than a Sr QB?

2017 could be better than most think, Tn seems to do better with lower expectations (even during Phil's years). OL is a question mark, the pocket collapsed a lot last year but had a magician at QB running the ball. Manziel or Vickesque imho. Now, that is Pro/Con because OL like knowing where the QB is, might help/might hurt, guess we will see.

Defense will be better overall (has to) but losing Barnett will hurt. Kongbo and KMac have to step up. Shy needs to get (and stay) healthy. I know someone who knows him and says he is a great kid. Rooting for him. My friend says he didn't attack last year and was afraid of getting hurt again, can't imagine another injury helping there. Again, hoping for the best for him and his future, very talented.

I'd say it's safe to expect 9-4, a couple breaks and might be ATL bound in Dec, wouldn't surprise me.

A nugget-no SEC team has won the East 3 yrs in a row in 20 years, streak continues, Tn or Ga win the East.

We had the SEC East wrapped up last year after beating Florida and Georgia, then laid eggs vs. South Carolina and Vanderbilt....so just because UF and UGa has weak points means very little....had it last year and lost it due to losses to the bottom feeders.

Regrettably, the only area of concern that I can think of for Georgia is their OL.

I would be absolutely stunned if the Vols win the East this year. And don't give me the whole "the Vols always do better when they don't have the pressure on them" line. UF and UGA are both better overall than them. UF has better skill players, and UGA has better depth. Vols will be lucky to split the season series against them, let alone actually win the division. Vols likely lose at least one (if not both) of those games, probably lose to Bama and LSU, and could always drop another. That leaves 9-3 at best and probably 8-4. Just don't see it going any other way than that. I'm sorry.

Want to believe but it's going to come down to the play at QB. Consistancy is key there.

But I do love the depth at OL and hope the run game can take pressure off the QB.

Upgraded assistants could play huge dividends as well.

Lets just hope and pray we can beat SC and Vandy. Also, lets hope it wont take a one in a million type of play to beat Georgia.

Oh...nm...still lost to Vandy
