Let me ask you this.
Who has more wins this decade? Who has won the SEC more this decade? Who has won more SEC tournaments this decade? Who has won more games in the NCAA Tournament this decade? Who currently has a better team? Who won the last time they squared off? Who is building on his resume as the best coach in his school’s history? Is the answer to any of those questions John Calipari? No? So wtf are you going on about?
You’re making things up like “Pearl is one tournament loss away from the hot seat” and “nobody considers Pearl winning the SEC a success.” You’re full of shít dude. Dead ass wrong on every account, and you still have the nerve to act condescending about it. Benito Mussolini’s mistress spent less time bent over backwards while slurping an overrated Italian than you do.
as I promised, a response to your other post...
The reality is Pearl’s and Cal's post season NCAAT are the same "this decade". Almost identical. As far as regular season, one may have more wins in one season and the other may have more wins in another ( which is the case this decade btw) , but ultimately it matters not. Regular season wins only matter becasue of March. They are the means to get you to March. (hell the NCAAT really doesn't even care about what happens in Conference games)
They certainly don't erase crapping the bed in March.
Same with Pearl having the one SEC championship this "decade" . It in no way makes up for the fact Pearl underperformed in March NCAA "this decade".
It's basically just bragging rights in conference for a year. Nobody else in other conferences or general people watching March Madness even pay attention to it.
Yes, Pearl did win a SEC championship last year.
Big whoop dude, Cal has won those back to back to back to back at Kentucky, and nobody cares LOL not even Kentucky fans

. They are meaningless in respect. And SEC championship in 2022 wouldn't have saved his job.
He also has
15 division 1 conference championships in his career, and
6 final 4 appearances. Pearl has 1 lol. Way more overall success in the NCAAT, too. Not to mention the
Natty trophy that sits on his mantle at his house.
Comparing them straight out is silly and why you chose to attempt reduce it down to the last 2-3 years (don't make me explain the 20' and 21' one thing again or I am done talking to you), but as I have told you, what makes this argument silly is the fact they both flamed out this decade when it was for all the Marbles.
Pearl would trade all his regular season titles at Auburn for that one NCAA trophy, dude. So would Barnes. You become a made man once you win that trophy.
Regular season performance didn't get Cal fired, 3 " bad" NCAAT performances ( same as Pearl in those same 3 years) did and I think you know that even if you are too stubborn to admit it

.
Cal began to only care about getting guys to the NBA, and didn't care about March anymore.
This is what is responsible for his poor NCAAT performance the last 3 years. Like I said, winning an SEC championship in 2022 wouldn't have saved his job. Winning one in 2024 wouldn't have either, ftm.
The fundamental difference between me and you is I could care less if Pearl wins a couple more games than Cal or Barnes in a season, or vice-versa. I also could care less if Pearl, Barnes, or Cal wins a SEC championship if they follow it up with a bed sh!itting come March Madness.
I think most everyone but you would agree with this, too.
As Kentucky correctly tells us every year we happen to have a few more wins than them or even win a SEC title,
" At KY we don't hang regular season title banners, we hang NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE BANNERS!"
This attitude exactly why Cal got the boot. It may surprise you but the same fate awaits Pearl as Cal if he sh!ts the bed come NCAAT time this year. Fans will start getting very vocal about this, I guarantee it.
Auburn or Tennessee will never truly even think about being a Blue Blood school until we/they can get that Natty. This is why it it so important to win in March when it counts, and this is one thing I give credit to KY fans for knowing. They know March is the only thing that matters. This is why they all don't care a bit to just sit some of their starters this year so they can heal up before the real tournament begins.
Arkansas Athletic director knows more than you, dude. They didn't hire coach Cal because they thought his better days were necessarily behind him. They hired him because of his outstanding proven ability to win. Not just reg. season to get to March, but actually in March when it counts.
It probably won't be this year, but I would bet you money Cal makes another run in March.
Like I also told you, it won't surprise me at bit if it was next year. Not likely all things considered, but it could actually even be this year.
