they called tennessee's backfield the best in the country if all 3 backs are healthy. they could be right if we have a good offensive line

it would be nice if he could do both

Jimmy Hyams has asked Fulmer on multiple occasions why he doesn't, considering our O line was at its best when he was the man responsible for it, and Fulmer usually responds that it would take too much of his time away from the rest of the team. Fulmer likes to watch over all positions as much as possible. I don't necessarily agree with him doing it, I mean, don't you hire assistant coaches to take care of each position so you don't have to. Or is he hiring people he doesn't trust? If he could coach the O line that would open up a slot to hire a special teams coach which I think we need desperately.

Fulmer had a reputation at one time for micromanaging the team and assistants.

I give Fulmer some credit I think his staff right now is pretty good. Most of the position coaches are pretty solid except for maybe Roper and Slade.

I feel like that's probably true, but I don't know if we know what we have with Greg Adkins yet. This year will be pretty important for him. Still, that being the case why shouldn't CPF trust them to do their job and focus on what he knows best?

You would think with an ex-offensive linemen as head coach, UT would have one of the best offensive lines in the country year after year :eek:hmy:

Remember last year when he said he was going to spend some personal time with the o-line before the arkansas game? Some good that did.

yea, i would have to say that his great recruiting job doesn't make up for his terrible o line
