A friend of mine and I were talking today about Big East Basketball back in the eighties and how great the coaching personalities were. I was trying to think of how they would translate to SEC coaches now, here's what I came up with. . .pretty weak, some of you could do much better.
John Calipari/Rollie Massimino - Not quite the same, but both animated coaches of Italian heritage who get plenty of exercise on the sideline. Are they coaching or dancing? Personally, I prefer Rollie.
Billy Donovan/Lou Carnesecca - Both Xs and Os guys, though Billy gets the nod in coaching attire. Lou's sweaters rivaled Cosby's.
Rick Stansberry/Jim Boeheim - Both have a vast array of crybaby faces and sulk on the sidelines.
Bruce Pearl/John Thompson - Both players coaches who sweat so much on the sidelines they need a towel or an extra suit.
That's all I got. . .what can I say, it pretty dead in the sports world right now and I was bored. . .
