I live close to the speedway. There has been a lot of discussion about how good or how bad the views are from the different seats in the arena. I was hoping to give you guys a little better perspective of what the views would be like from your individual seats. So, I went over this morning and asked if someone might take me to take a picture of the view from the upper row and the lower row both sideline and end of speedway.
The speedway is already in lock-down, security reasons I guess. But I didn't come away empty handed. Although the gentleman could not give me the pictures, he showed me views of the football field from all of those different angles, both ends and the sidelines. The field was already outlined so I just took them all in as he showed them to me and actually looked at some low row views, mid row views, and nosebleed views. I don't know if it was because Neyland may be higher, but I was surprised.
They've always said there is not a bad seat in the house as far as auto racing is concerned. My comment after viewing to the gentleman was there is really not a bad seat in the house watching a football game and he agreed. It may not be Neyland but it isn't as bad as some say. I think all of you will be pleasantly surprised at your views and that is a good thing. And then there is always the 30' by 60' Colossus suspended directly over the field staring directly at both sidelines and ends of the speedway.
So, welcome to Bristol next week, and if you have time don't miss a visit to the $10 million Birthplace of Country Music Museum that is affilated with the Smithsonian one street over from State Street on the Virginia side of town.
