The ZZ sections in Neyland are real chair backs and not the silly mounted cushions, correct? I've never sat in that section, but that's what they appear to be.

Anyone who has sat up there, what's the environment like? I'm considering moving my tickets up there when my kid gets to be a little older, so she can join the fun.

All chairback sections are "real chair backs" to my knowledge. The "silly mounted cushions" are on season ticket holders' seats.

I don't sit there but the season ticket "chairbacks" are really just to define space. They provide a little cushion from those aluminum benches but I rarely "lean back" against my chair back.

I will give my opinion on seats for what it's worth. I sit in section Q and believe that, as far as "bang-for-the-buck" goes, these are the best seats in the stadium. They are on the home side of the field, clear view of the jumbotron, close enough to the band to really hear them, far enough away from the students to avoid flying beer, close to the cute little dance team members, and the best part for me is seeing the team run straight at me when they come through that "T". Also, the people sitting 20 feet to my left (across the concrete divider) are paying 2.5x donation compared to what I'm paying.

I do see, however, the appeal of having a kid up in the upper deck - fun view. Good luck with your decision.

I have had 4 seats in ZZ14 since they were built and I love them. They are real seat backs not the cushions. The view of the field and jumbotron are outstanding. You don't have to worry about the 350 pounders squeezing you out of the 17 inch bleacher widths per seat in some other sections.

the first two rows are high dollar donation chairback seats ($1250 per seat). The next ten rows are bench seats at a donation of $250 per seat. The remainin rows are chair back at a donation of $500 per seat.

To answer the other part of the post, I donate at the $500 per seat level but choose to sit in the bench seat area, well because I really enjoy the folks in my section. We have a good time and no one cares if you stand up

Thanks for the insight guys. I moved to X1 this year, and I'm only 4 rows from the field, so when the time comes I'll probably find a way to grab 3 in that area and hang on to my X1 seats somehow.

I know you have to pay for them, I just don't care for them in the least. I bought season tickets from someone last year rather than donating and while I really enjoyed the location of the seats, I hated the seat backs.

I also think they're $40 this year, according to the documentation my wife picked up at Meet Your Seats.

Well then I like them. In the cold they are a big deal and I have a bad back. I do use. I also stand and cheer a lot too. They are included in my package we have had the seats you used and mine for over 30 years ;)

The cushioned seat backs are the best $40 you can spend in Neyland Stadium.
