Seating in Ole Miss?

Ole Miss fans are mostly cordial and inviting. Some are asses, but who ain't at some of these games? Ole Miss' stadium doesn't seat a lot, but it looks 1,000 times better than Mississippi State's or Vanderbilt's stadium. I'll be seeing you down there!

Also, if you're looking at the Jumbotron from within the stadium, visitor's seats are on the right side. Don't get stuck in the endzone opposite of the Jumbotron either. That's the Ole Miss student section.

Thanks G'Town, that's some good info. Maybe we'll run into each other and not even know it.
VolFanInArkansas, thanks for the welcome...are you in Little Rock? If so, is there a Volunteer Club or anything like that. We had something in Montgomery, AL where a bunch of fans got together and watched games...didn't know if you're familiar with something like that around Little Rock.

my sister goes to Ole Miss so me and the girlfriend will be making the trip to Oxford in the fall dawning my orange in the preppy student section. For those who are going, I know the area pretty well, and I would tell you to stay in Tupleo which is about 45 mins east of Oxford. There isn't much in Oxford and not many hotels/motels. Plus while you're in Tupelo you can go see Elvis' birthplace.

Before this past year I would say that there would be some hotel vacancies in Oxford, but now that the fans are behind the program again I think you're right about Tupelo. When I used to go with my family to games during the Eli Era we usually had to stay out in Tupelo because Oxford was normally PACKED.

right outside of Memphis is a place like Southaven is a good bet as well. Only 45 minute drive and their is plenty of hotel space and restaurants.

That is absolute BS. They didn't pack VHS at all. The packed the Grove, got drunk and said eff the game.

Hah! I stand corrected!

...but they did win all the tailgate parties in Oxford that year, wouldn't you say?

The Grove and the tailgating are probably the top in the nation but the stadium itself is nothing unique.

Right. The stadium's OK but nothing special. We left the game during the 4th quarter. There were as many folks in The Grove as in the stadium.

I would go this route as well (if I didn't already live within driving distance).

when i went there (fall 05) there were easily 80k in the grove/circle and less than 40-50k in the stadium on any given home game.
