I know I'm going out on a limb with this, but which year was your most memorable? Either from a personal standpoint or a fan standpoint.... I am tied between 2001 and 2006. 2001 had some great games in UGA (never felt neyland shake that hard after T. Stephens scored, and then never heard neyland so quiet 42 seconds later) and then obviously Florida. But 2006 was great as well. California was great game, and there were times in the Florida game where it rivaled the '01 UGA game. If Ainge didn't get hurt....Anyways, just something to talk about that doesn't involve Bryce Brown, facebook, or pumping gas.

Rather than just upping our post count, why don't we elaborate a bit, especially for those who were learning how to read in 1993 ha

Who remembers the last time we beat Auburn? When I first came a vol fan we had at least a 3 game series lead, now we are back 3 games.

I know we beat them in the NC year because that is when Deon Grant intercepted a screen pass and scored.

I like that pick too because it was my freshman year and first season in the student section.

But my winner would have to be 85. Got to see every home game that year (was selling cokes at Neyland just to get in), the goalposts came down vs Auburn and even went to B'ham. The sugar cubes vs Vandy was a nice touch too. I had always been a fan but really fell in love that year

1995 was my freshman year at UT and my favorite game was the UGA game. It was a night game, back and forth, with Jeff Hall kicking the winning FG at the end. Good times!

Deon Grant had a pick six in '99, which is also the last time we've beat them.

2001 - Pretty much the last hurrah of tennessee dominance in regards to power running and tough defense.
2002 - was the most dissappointing, thats the year (IMO) that fulmer lost the program.

What was the year of the 8 OT game vs. the cousin hump--err Arkansas...2003? One of my alltime favorite games.

Not necessarily the best season but I had a house in the Fort with 4 of my (to this day) best friends with a HUGE deck. We'd have a party every weekend, sell out all of our parking spaces for $10 a pop--which went toward beer--and at the end of the year had "Exam Slam"--a party which averaged about 350+ people the two years it was held.

Good times.

for me its hard to pick just one year. i was lucky enough that my fam had season tickets for 45 yrs so growing up i went to the games. started goin during andy k's era. carl pickens was a bad man, the vols were on the other sideline, and we had turf, and the upper deck wasn't all the way around. i have to say i liked the endzones better when we had turf, more orange in them. n. silvan might be one of my fav. players growin up, i think it was bc of his name

'85, to anyone who remembers, has to be just below the Title season...

This place is soooo young..

I'm thinking I'm one of the "older" people on the board...and I was 6 in '85...but I remember the Miami game--vaguely.

1990

Tied the eventual national champion (Colorado) in the first game (31-31)
Were tied by Auburn in a game we should have won (26-26)
Lost to 'bama in one of the ugliest games I can remember (9-6)
Lost to Notre Dame in the last seconds in Neyland but it was a great game (34-29)
But, we smashed the gators 45-3 and won the Sugar Bowl and tied for the SEC Championship!

Lots of great games that year.

Well aside form the great years We had the one that sticks out most in my mind was the 1980 season....Even though it was a losing season..The schedule that year was unheard of at the time and some of the all time football greats played in Neyland stadium that season...UGA with a rookie RB named Herschel Walker, Southern Cal with a rookie RB named Marcus Allen and Jeff Fisher, Pittsburgh with a Jr. QB named Dan Marino and Hugh Green and so many more, We had some big time names on that team as well, Willie Gault, Anthony Hancock, Reggie White, Jimmy Noooooooonan...Man that brings back memories.
