Season tickets sold out for third straight year, waiting list at 24k

You just proved my point. Tickets for the Alabama and Florida games weren’t available on a single game basis from the Athletic Dept because those two schools bought their entire allotment. The other four opponents last season did not, so the unsold seats went on sale.

And yes I am a season ticket holder, as well as a donor to the Tennessee Fund and a member of the Chancellor’s Circle.
If you are what you say you are then you know differently than this. I'm WAY down the list and bought single game Florida and Kentucky tickets during the season ticket holder early access last year.

If you did it's because Florida didn't sell all of their allotment. They were coming off a poor season and expectations were low so it's likely last year was an anomaly where their fans didn't buy every ticket we gave them, so there were a few hundred to sell. I know for a fact there were no Alabama single game seats for sale, because they bought all of theirs.

Jmo; if they can give the appearance of having a waiting list, supply and demand allows for continued price hikes. I suspect a surplus to tickets gets funneled through other avenues to be sold.
