not that it matter and its very hard to predict in may haha but i just thought what the heck.. might as well so my prediction goes like this..

California-24 Tennessee-30
Air Force- 10 Tennessee-41
***Florida- 28 Tennessee-31
Marshall- 21 Tennessee- 40
Memphis- 17 Tennessee- 28
***Georgia- 17 Tennessee- 21
Alabama- 13 Tennessee- 27
***South Carolina-27 Tennessee 30
***LSU- 31 Tennessee- 38
Arkansas- 17 Tennessee- 23
Vanderbilt-7 Tennessee- 31
Kentucky-10 Tennessee- 28

SEC champ game Tenn or Florida vs LSU or Ole miss

*** denotes game could go either way.

I know i picked us to go undefeated but i think we can win all of the close games.. i think we'll lose 2 maybe 3 but i do believe 2 of those tough games will go in our favor. Also auburn will be in the mix of the top in the west... but i felt like pickin ole miss because of who they got this year and what they have coming back. What do you all THINK?/???

I understand where you are coming from, but I think the worst case scenario is 8-4 this year. I will go out on a limb to say that the fire has been lit (or at least a small flame) and that UT will not go another year without being bowl eligible.

We go 11-1 regular season. If we can get Georgia between the hedges
I believe we can go all the way. The schedule is favorable and we have
some intangibles in our favor. We catch Bama (with a new QB on The Hill
and LSU as well).

SEC Championship
Tennessee Vs Auburn (Georgia will be good for their annual
loss to Florida and at Auburn)

If we win the SEC, even with a loss we might be good for the NCgame.

yep especially coming off a 5-6 year. some people are the eternal optomist, i'm more of a realist.

Some very high expectations wouldn't you think?

Well, yaah!

My reasons.

The talent is there, always has been. The offensive coaching hasn't been.

David will make the difference on the offensive side.

I don't see any team with the power of Texas or USC in the 06 season.

In fact, I don't believe there'll be any team in the nation go through the regular season unscathed this season. In fact, had we not been upset in the SECCG in 2001, we were set to play for the NC with a loss that season. Florida St. played for the title in 98 with a loss as did Oklahoma and LSU in 03, and Nebraska in 01. So, getting there with a single loss is very possible.

Could be wrong. You have to admit that we do have a very friendly schedule this year. Not that it's weak, but that most of our tough ones are at home. I believe The Hill returns to a very hard place to get a win with Cutcliffe back. If we'd had an average offense last year we would have beaten Bama, Florida, Vandy, and SC. As it was, we lost those games by a combined 17 points with the worst team we've had in 20 years.

I'm more of a realist as well..I'd look for a 8-4, 9-3 type season for UT

I think everybody in the SEC east faces the possiblity of that type of season. If CL comes alive the Gators might have a 10-2 or 11-1 year. The Cocks and the Dawgs are due for a bit of a reality check.

I agree Lex, CL is a lot like weurrfel...not the NFL arm but he is at times very accurate and we can badmouth him all we want but he is tough if no pressure is on him. I think if we get past the Gators with a win the only true threat of a loss is LSU, the rest of the schedule including Carolina and Georgia are losses only if execution isnt there.

I hope you're right...I'd take 9-3 for UF right now considering the schedule.

7-5 sounds about right, for now. Tennessee will play a lot better this year but will come up short :banghead: The SEC will be the cream of the crop over every conference and that will work against Tennessee in the "W" column, schedule is tough :ill_h4h:
