Kiffin is way better than a tier 3 hire.

I like him better than all the other candidates, actually.

this just in the new coach will not be coming from any of theese list, it will be someone from complete left field and will be a homerun, ok finished with baseball analogies now.

As far as the ideal realistic candidate you may be right (are ideals ever realistic?) , although you would have a hard time convincing that a Bob Stoops-like hire is not what we all really want. Young. Talented. Long-term. That would be my ideal anyway. A lot of parallels can be drawn between the OU and UT programs, as well. I guess my convolutions were really a backhanded was of asking if it was possible that Will Muschamp could possibly be that kind of coach.

right. identifying the next saban or carroll or stoops at an early stage of their career, and hiring them, would be huge. of course a lot of teams try but few succeed because superstars are rare. muschamp may end up being a SS. or kelly. or kiffin. or even leach.

Just saw Erin Andrews on ESPN from Cincinnati..............


Oh yeah...Anyway...She reported that one of the Cincy players asked Kelly to address his situation concerning UT...She said Kelly told the team that it wasn't a distraction to him and it shouldn't be a distraction to them either.....He didn't say anything to quiet those rumors to the team...
