Youtube is very easy to use on your own

This site is more about the community of a common bond of vol fans brother. I could google who is UT’s all time leading rusher, but I would rather come here to post and ask fellow vol fans, then to see the comments and discussion that ensues is awesome.

I'm just here for the girls, and the fighting!

*I agree with you 🤣

blackburn,Nothing on a computer is easy for this kid.In 1968,I took computer science in the old business building diagonally across from the new Humanities tower. We had I believe Fortran and Wang programs and used typewriters that would punch holes in computer cards and put into room-sized computers.

YUP... Writing programs in Fortran 4, punch cards and huge piles of green striped printouts.
Thanks for posting the video Blackburn.

the capture point of that video would make for a great "write a caption for this picture" thread. CJH just looks like he knows something you dont

"You guys have no clue what's about to hit you..."

I have a feeling we are going to here the name “squirrel “ often , and for a long time . I’d be ok if our receivers nickname was the flying squirrels . Lol

Gabby Douglas objects to that nickname theft you're advocating. UM-hum, she sure does.

My old, outdated, piece of junk PC won't let my sound work anymore and I've tried everything I can think of (which isn't much) to try to make it work again.

Van someone please summarise what Coach said?

Thanks everyone.

Hollerith cards. That's the only thing I remember from my Basic class in 1978 at Motlow CC.

Boy does that bring back memories. I used to carry around a box full of punched cards when working on a long program. I was always afraid if I dropped them I would have to spend hours putting them back in order.

I'm too old and in too bad a health to waste what little $$$ I have to buy a new PC.

I'm also a high tech/computer moron so to learn anything new I have to get a detailed, step by step instructions to try to do anything.

The last time I tried something by myself I screwed something up and I couldn't get online again.

It took my wife, texting back and forth with her friend trying things, 2 days just to figure out how to get me back online again, LOL!

She told me if I ever did something like that again I would just have to stay offline forever.

I almost died during just that 2 days.

If I could never get back on here again they may as well just bury me and get it over with.

Memories. 1968/1969, you wrote your Fortran 4 code on coding sheets and turned them into the keypunch activity in the basement at Glocker. The students taking keypunch classes punched the cards for you and you picked them up in Glocker basement. I seem to remember you ran them thru the compiler and had to correct any errors by your self by punching new cards. You submitted the job, if it ran correctly you were home free. If it bombed, ie, got stuck in an endless do loop, your green paper output said duh. You had to correct the cards yourself at this point and resubmit. I believe that a IBM 360 was used.

I have just had this sixth sense since the moment that kid announced that he was going to be special. Nothing logical at all to base it on, just that gut feeling

I took Fortran way back when we had to do punch cards and turn them in to be run…you know, back in the last millennium. 😂
