We are kind of falling back in recruiting as would be expected with new coach. Today on Scout they have us #45 with only Ark(#51) and Ken(#61) behind us. CBJ seems like a good person and my heart goes out to him for what lies ahead in the near future. Money is not everything. I went to church with Coaches Battle and Dickey and saw how hard it was on Bill and his family. Lets give all support to CBJ and his family now cause it may be very rough the next couple of years.....and I promise not to depress everybody anymore by looking at recruiting for now. I have followed since 1967 this looks like the Battle to Majors period. On a side note thanks for bad math Mayans.... :)

I agree that its going to be a rough two years coming. It is still a couple months to go as far as recruiting for this years goes. I'm hoping that we get atleast 2 out of Green, Bell, North, Lawson. Not for the sake of rankings... but these will fill out atleast some of our areas of need in a good way...
Go vols... and I'm with CBJ

I don't really care how "hard" it is on CBJ or any coach. They wanted the job they get paid millions guaranteed no matter if they are successful or not.
All that matters is winning and a clean programming everything else is BS!

I don't think it will be as tough as you guys think the first two years. No one is expecting anything but bowl elgibility 6 wins and anything extra is a plus. Also CBJ is a good coach who is use to competing with lesser talent so he and his staff understand how to coach players up. Watch this guy is going to surprise a team or two this year as long as the players and fans buy into and support his system

This has got to be one of the stupidest posts I've read on here, lately. You don't care how "hard" it is? They get paid big money? It's fans like you that give us all a bad name. Better to be quiet than to let everyone know what a moron you are. :banghead2:

We are in on a lot of high ranked recruits. I didn't expect to have a lot of commits when we have a coaching change. I'll pass my judgement on NSD. Even then that ain't really fair either

We're use to it by now. It's been a rough decade. What's another 2 years?

Not surprising. We'll not finish well this season but a stud RB would make us not care what final ranking we were.

We will be very lucky to win 6 games this year with our schedule and a new quarterback!

If cbj is only one game better than dools then we have bigger issues. This team has the talent to win 8 games. It up to bj boy to utilize the talent n win now n not shove his off down the throats of players not suited for it. Thats what good coaches do adapt n we will see....

8 wins? Where in de world you come up wit 8 wins on our schedule. I see 4. We lost our 3 best offensive weapons and our best Off. lineman., Our defense sucks and we are getting every 3star recruit that was going to cincy.. But...if you see 8 wins, please, do share..who?

Not sure I see 8 wins (baring a couple of upsets) but I could see 8 with the bowl game if we can surprise someone on our schedule. JMO

"very" rough... Thats strong. People need not forget that Dooley did leave a talented structure when he left. The D should be much improved going back to the 4-3. Look at the difference in defense between last 11 & 12. Same personal minus Malik and miles apart. The guys even had a year to get better and the sunseri hire was a catastrophe.

It will be rough but "very"? Idk. Look at ole miss, state, and yes... Vandy, they are not more talented than tennessee but they have coaching and ours have been God awful and it showed. Hell even south Carolina and Georgia we were a stop or a play away from being winners. Not to mention Missouri.... Trash.

However if butch comes to work, which he will, and he utilizes our talent and gets the best out of his players. I see an 8 win season next season. That's not unrealistic abs we are not where we were win CLK left.

Good argument name calling is great. Just keep making excuses for losing and you keep losing. BTW I am a season ticket holder and contributor and grad.

Well in part it's about filling needs. I've never seen a coach holding up the crystal ball for being #1 in recruiting.
